I managed not to spend any money today. First day of trying so I am pleased with it.
There will days that I need milk but bread I can make and have all the ingredients, have enough in stores to last long time. Petrol may become a problem but will deal with that when it arrives. I don't count DD for essential outgoings, gas, mortgage etc.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off0 -
Hi guys,
I've decided to join you with your challenge, I'm going to get the whole family involved and I'll start from Monday the 8th if thats OK.
The reason being that i need to prep the kids and, more importantly hubby - and we've already got a trip to Alton Towers planned for the weekend.
wish me luck.

Guys start whenever you want!
Im on day 4 and still not spent a pennyLoving this challenge but havnt had a weekend this month yet...first one begins tomorrow!! So i suppose thats when the reality of the challenge kicks in and i have to find myself saying "no" to the majority of ideas people have at a weekend!! Iv got alcohol in stock so could easy have a few "free" nights having a beer round visiting friends.
Payday tomorrowShould be a big one, first pay since i served my time...so looking at over £1,200....will wait and see though. Then i have no expenses except dd to pay my car on the 9th - £240.30. I have £80+ IN credit on credit card...so that will do for fuel when i need.
I wouldnt count fuel, milk, bread etc etc
i would however count smoking!!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Is your gf on board rictus? Is she joining in with this too ?
What free plans do you have for this weekend? I always think a flask of tea/soup, some sandwiches and a nice long walk somewhere scenic is a great (free) way to get out and about for a few hours - or will you be working? lol#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Hi guys, just thought I'd give you an update - after three no spend days, I finally spent a few quid today - chicken for a curry this evening - still cheaper than eating out. Today I have spent some time baking with odds and sods I had around the house. Have filled loads of plastic containers with lasagne and chilli to take to work and making jam with bilberries I picked on the mountain behind our house.
Well done for not spending so far rictus! Keep up the good work.Debt free since 18/11/2011

2 NSD of the month today, I done lots of baking, including bread so I don't have to go out and spend. I don't count DD, they all come out on different days and I don't have a choice, they need to be paid.
Good luck with the challenge Cuckoo and family.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off0 -
Mmmmm chicken curry sounds fine!!! Iv got £10 to pay out tomorrow that i promised last month...for sponsoring local toddler group and getting upgraded facilities...could come in handy in a few years when i have a few mini mes!!
Had the tenner looked out in change for it so really it was paid out last month im just handing it over tomorrow....so i think i should get away with it?!
The long walk sounds good...i have that planned for Sunday. The gf is half on board. She is only spending what she makes from overtime....so she might treat me to one or two things but nothing drastic?
No idea what else we will be doing...dont think im working but will be seeing about handing back car once half car is paid off.....should be soon. At least il know for definate.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
