Seaxwyn - you do realise that the virgin offer is partner friendly, so get a topcashback site set up for OH and do it all again - another £100 or so :j
In Seaxwyn's absence I am going to say :hello: to Lunar - always nice to see a new face. Stick around, when you have a big debt (as we do) it can seem never ending, but be assured, the "dfw gang" here are fab and incredibly motivating and that debt will be coming down before you know it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. does he have to know about it? can I do it on my computer (with his details), or will Topcashback recognise me?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I set up an account for oh and it all seems to be ok. Both set up on my laptop so you should be ok!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

We've reached the part of the month when my standing orders go out - £1350 over five days - and it's looking dicey.
I'm now overdrawn £83 on my natwest account, with another £530 going out this week. At 18.36% that's my highest interest debt and I do all I can to keep that one in credit.
The mini crisis has arisen as once again one of my clients has been slow to pay an invoice. They say they have a backlog and will process it "this week" - but will the cheque arrive before I go on holiday on Saturday?
In desperation, I'm even thinking of taking a credit card on holiday (I NEVER use them). I do have one with zero balance that I could use for all spending and pay off when I get back. That must be better than spending on the NatWest overdraft, which is the only other option.
NB I'm not intending to go mad on holiday, but we will need food, diesel, and I'd like to go to the Eden Centre.
OH hasn't paid various bills I trusted him to pay, including the household insurance. I'm wondering whether to pay it myself (out of my £18% overdraft) or leave it.
But on the bright side, my mum gave me the contents of her coin jar, for holiday spending. £25, which I think I'll pay into NatWest today to reduce the overdraft a tiny bit.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
 to all the things in your post that deserve a  especially to OH not paying his bills
I think you are right to take the 0% card with you as long as you are strong enough not to go mad with it. Hopefully then the client's cheque will be with you when you get back home and you can clear it off in one go.
The danger would be that you spend unnecessarily because you have a "free" card and that it stays with a balance on when you get home, and creeps up. If there is a danger of this, then the motivation of not having a high rate overdraft for long might be better in the longer term IYSWIM?
I have just one DD left to go out this month, but we have already run out of money too, so will be paying high charges, either on the OD or by having to use the CC for basics - food is coming out of the storecupboard, but petrol still needs to be bought  , so I am feeling your pain with you
I hope you have a good day today - I have got a reasonable number of clients but they are spread throughout the day which makes for a long one! Can't complain though, I am lucky that in my work they pay as they go, so no hanging around for invoices to be paid.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Seaxwyn could you not get OH to set up the bills he is responsible for on SO or DD? Alternatively you pay them BUT GET THE MONEY OFF HIM!!!!!!!!!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

he is very resistant to DDs and SOs - because he often doesn't have the money.
But this month he received £1038 insurance money so I need to investigate how much he has left and stand over him while he writes the cheques.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
