Don't worry it's only took me 6 years of being self employed to get into a routine and now I'll have to start it all again when I go back..lol...0

I am bumbling too - if I can get through August without using my NatWest overdraft I will consider it a success.

I've been self-employed for 11 years and never got into a routine!
I must say doing the DDs' paper round helps - if I turn on the computer when I get in I have an hour and a half for computer stuff before the rest of the world starts work.

Likewise - I need a huge kick to get things in order, otherwise next year will be a financial disaster and there is no way that I want to be pushed into going "back to work".Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hello Julia, nice to see you!
Some good news today - OH went into his bank and demanded the latest set of charges back and they refunded them. He then closed his current account with the evil HSBC and I hope he will try to reclaim the rest of his last six years' charges.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
More good news: OH was having a rant today about HSBC (he hates them) and I once again introduced the subject of reclaiming bank charges. He's always dismissed it before, but this time he said "put the papers in front of me and I'll sign them". Yay! I will explore the reclaiming bank charges pages just as soon as I get a chance.
Also, there is a desk of sorts taking shape in the shed. Not quite habitable yet but definitely something is changing in there.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Blimey Seaxwyn, not only are you having a desk appearing, but......could this be a flicker of a light bulb we see from OH? I hope so - it is certainly a step in the right direction, and you are right to sieze the moment.

Well done OH. I really hope that this is the turning of the corner Seax. My fingers will be crossed
