Okay, see what you mean about the working conditions - thats tough. Mind you, Shoreham Beach on days like this is a bit tough too, tho I've just seen the weather forecast, and I think the jet stream is coming to your rescue overnight!

Choices are hard, aren't they - sure, you chose self employment, but that doesn't mean you can blithely ignore the problems it brings with it. Moan away - its your thread!

Hmmm.... the musicals.... can you sing along to both? Which plot do you like best? If a song got mangled from one of them, which would be least painful to hear? Have fun choosing!

The first time my mum came down here, me and my sister took her to see Gigi, by a local amdram, and she loved it - she actually loves that particular musical, apparently. I think its a very odd plot myself - her mother and her aunt are teaching her how to be a courtesan? Whaaat! I think South Pacific and Kiss Me Kate are better options!

I could sing along to South Pacific, not sure about Kiss Me Kate, I've never seen it but I'm sure some of the numbers will be familiar. I've never seen Gigi either.

I'll let my mum choose. I have to take her, it's a family tradition that we go to these things and take it in turns to pay. Now why have I never seen 'musicals' in anyone else's SOA?

Hi hon - I saw a terrible version of South Pacific in london once and it's ruined the whole thing for me so I'd have to plump for kiss me kate! I really like musicals too, but don't tell many people...

I got to go to a few west end shows when I worked in london by taking kids along (and would therefore be free for me:)) and it was wonderful. We saw fame (oh my) and the lion king (cried beginning middle and end!).

Let us know what you decide! Hope it's not too cold tomorrow as well.

I've seen films where I've cried all the way through - mourning for those lost hours of my life...

Lol I fell asleep at the cinema during Lion King when my daughter was small. She had to wake me up.

I adore lion King on video too - and (ok, yes I know so don't anyone else say I'm sad) I LOVE Prince of Egypt and Joseph King of Dreams animations - don't mind DD and DS rewatching those over and over.. Like a lot of ALW ones as well - saw Jesus Christ Superstar at Intake high school when I was about 10 and fell in love completely. Made my mum take me back to see the other productions of it! :)
