You can only set interleave depths of 0 (fastpath, INP0) and 160 (interleaved, INP2) via the web control panel (Gaming Mode on or off). Depth 96 (INP1) requires tech support to set it.

    /pedant. ;)

Virgin is normley the best but not not every one lives in a cabled area.

Sky and virgin are the only ones who offer truly unlimted if you think you will download a lot all the others have fair usage policy.

Virgin do still manage traffic... or they did when I had them, however, there BB is lightening fast and you can d/load as much as you like during off peak times

Though not with the 'BE Value' package as mentioned by the OP.

Mind you, BE will allow SNR to be tweaked (via tech support) to maximise your connection within the Value limits (12 meg). Fastpath is not available on Value though.

Plus they DO NOT throttle or limit ANY protocol type, regardless of time of day. (Sky and Virgin DO).

I didn't think Sky LLU throttled?

Virgins "traffic management" is the worst of the lot unless you have their "premium" package (i.e. 50mbps plus). They do broad spectrum throttling as opposed to the other ISPs targetting individual protocols.
Translation: If you are a medium/heavy user avoid Virgin like the plague unless you want to stump up the cash for their best product.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they DO do protocol-based throttling (e.g. P2P) during peak periods. BE have NO throttling whatsoever.
  • Another plus for BE*, is you can use any router you want which is handy for manual SNR settings. With no silly DLM banding getting in the way of speed.

Value is a great option is the line is over 38db as you can still use INP1 depth.
