Morning all. Have been reading through thread since my last post, some really good ideas for todays tasks.
Have already sorted out a couple of bills online, and shredded some paperwork, so one task complete already.:j :j
Need to tackle bedroom as it became a bit of a dumping ground after moving bookcase yesterday. Will do tidy up in main room, kitchen and bathroom (cleaned it yesterday), and then move into the dangerzone.
Im going in ................working hard at this thing called life0 -
Today is gunna be a very slow day, wont get alot done as my boiler has broken.I`ll have to go to the ex husbands house this morning to put his hot water on and have a bath. Also I`ll be taking my wet work clothes with me to put in his tumble dryer as mine hasn`t been working for weeks and I have no rads now.Cant hang them outside as the weather isn`t very good.
I have made my bed which is a start.
But today I plan to sort out one cupboard in the kitchen. It must have over 100 wage slips rammed in there,so straight into a bin bag they will go.
I desperately need to sort medicines out.Just shoved on the cupboard not even in a box.
Phone C Card company and very nicely but very firmly ask for my interest rate to be lowered.
Pay phone bill/catalogue bill.
Sort out my paper file and shread every scrap of waste paper in the house.
Take five minutes to stand in my bathroom and admire the shine I created in there yesterday.
And of course the usual,feed kids,hoover front room,make lunch and tea,then off to work tonight.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -

I have just popped on to see todays list and im already a little ahead of mysef after clearing out a couple of draws in the kitchen and throwing out some old things we no longer use. Im going for a bath a bit later when the baby is asleep so im not desturbed so I shall give the bathroom some attention this afternoon0 -

My good intentions have only worked for 1 1/2 days so far.
Our new baby arrived yesterday. I was sooooo behind already and planned to catch up and have a shiny clean home by the end of the day.
Then I had the call to say son's gf in labour ............................ and would I like to be at the birth!
This was completly out of the blue and never been mentioned throughout the pregnancy. It was the best offer I have ever had.
So spent the day at hospital waiting, then watching, my 1st grandchild born.
My house this morning looks like a squat and today I am going to Ikea with my sis (the only day she can manage and I don't drive).
Mother & baby home tomorrow (or late tonight), so I'll be around at their place every oppertunity this weekend.
I would NEVER have had my DH mother with me while I was giving birth, come to that even my own mother, but I am so glad she asked me.
I'll never forget it.
LLWe are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -
morning flybabes just caught up on the thread after it was closed last night. Thanks for the list Moggins, my bathroom needs some urgent attention! Didnt get the kitchen done mainly due to nasty four letter word w**k (yes I know there's no excuse!) but I want to start afresh with todays task & I'm sure the kitchen will come round again soon! did clean my sink tho' like rach I try not to use bleach - have to use it sometimes tho as we have a cream acrylic (I think?) sink in kitchen & otherwise it looks grubby.
IOUMAC like you i've been so pleased that since this thread i've washed up every evening after tea. I'd got into the nasty habit of leaving dishes to fester overnight (hangs head in shame), not a pretty sight in the morning & soooo depressing, BUT NOT ANYMORE THANKS TO YOU LOT!0 -

Two loads of washing on the line. Just got sheet back in because a bird had pooped on it! So machine back on (with a couple of other things that were missed earlier).
Dusted and vacuumed downstairs.
Bin day today, thank goodness, so I've got all my wastepaper bins emptied. They were really annoying me!0
