Flylady Challenge - New Year, New You

Hurrah! Can I have a muffin, please! A friend has just dropped round unannounced asking for dress advice for this evening, and not only did I invite her in without a qualm, I asked her upstairs so that we could use the long mirrors in my bedroom :j :j :j Wouldn't have done that last year.
I've only been doing Flylady for 6 months, and can't tell you the difference it's made.
I don't think that anyone has asked for the chat to stop on this thread. Most people get support from it. I, and others, would just like the rotas and other *top tips* to be joined together where we can easily find them. It's not that I don't want to read what others are doing, I'd love to. However, on 100 odd posts a day, I simplty don't have the time if I'm going to get anything done here. That's also the reason that I go my own sweet way - can't always spare time to search for Moggins' list.
Edit - thanks squeaky! :kisses3:
I really hope I haven't upset anyone. If I have, pleeeeease PM me, and I'll do my best to sort it out.

Wooooooooohoooooooooo the we can see the floor in the lounge again....for now! DS will no doubt drag all his cars and pirate ships out soon, but you gotta love 'em
Once the floor was clear I hoovered and also the hall which I only did yesterday (unheard of for me to get the hoover out 2 days running!)
Still a long way to go but already the improvements are there, maybe not for others to see but we can :j Maybe I'll even do moggins list on the same day as everyone else, now that would be an achievement :TOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
S'okay Squeaky! I'll sort 'em all out with a good whipping later
I am glad you said we can have a weekly thread though. It's going to make what I had in mind to make the thread a little easier to follow so simple.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Well done AnW'sMum, you're doing great, it'll come together and in no time, you'll be willing to let those unexpected guests in
I'm sure your little DS will help put those cars and ships away again after he has finished. Hang on in there!
One day I might be more organised...........

Hello Ladies:hello:
Well I have been busy today.
This morning before work it took me a whole half hour to make beds, quick swish of bathrooms, hoover upstairs and tidied round - Left DH to hoover downstairs (got to get him involved) and one house ready for viewing.
We ended up with 2 today the second one put cash offer forward to DH but not sure about the bloke (gut feeling). Not done it through Estate Agents said he would put it writting (where I work - he he) so will wait and see on that one.
So whole house looks lovely (DD's at Nannies!) :j
Other tasks
Cook Gammon Ham - doing at mo
Put item on Freecycle (hamster diedso cage looking for new home - done
Put wash on - Will do in a bit
Sit in front of telly and watch DVD whilst drinking bacardi and coke - after DH watches football
Just to add I LOVE the chat on here, your my friends and i love hearing about everyones days and triumphs (no matter how big or small), I usually leave the comp on all day and check in after doing a task so I keep up with the chat.
Now the house is under control I plan on spending a bit more time doing stuff with the kids (feel I have neglected them a bit lately) but following all the hard work I know keeping on top of things will be easier.
Thanks for all you efforts Moggins, and thanks to everyone else for making this house-keeping/being organised so much fun!:beer:0 -
I agree with mumoftwo .i love it just the way it is ,and the chatter is what keeps me going .how everyone is doing .or not doingmumoftwo wrote:Moggins
Love the forum just the way it is!!
The chats is what keeps me going, knowing we are all in the same boat and picking hints up as we go along.
We are saving money, we are cleaning and not spending money on things we don't need out of boredom and finding things we didn't know we had so not having to buy new. And after our house is manageable we have more time for ebay, home cooking and looking for more money making tips on this website!!0 -
Apart from gutting the living room (DD has been having an arts and crafts afternoon) and cooking tea and clearing up at 7.30 when DH gets up I am done. So I am going to pack DD off to bed at 7pm, I shall cook tea for DH and me, clear up the kitchen and slob in front of the telly. I have The Pacifier recorded on the TV Drive and I am going to pour myself a large Malibu and milk and grab a box of Ferrero (left over from christmas) and have a quiet night in front of the tellyOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

pigpen DS1 did the photos for me. I don't know how to, and I didn't realise they would come out so big!
I find the chat and the tips very motivating, and if I didn't feel I had to report back, I wouldn't do it at all!;)
One bag to charity, so another bit of my bedroom floor visible.:D And another box goes tomorrow. I'm getting there! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
penelope penguin i read yours and thought it sounded like a good idea too then read all the other points and agreed with those too!!! i'm not good on stuff like that!!
re not posting if not much done - i often do nothing but dailies and playing and still post so don't worry about that!!

oh well, see you all later0 -
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying the weekend. I also think that the "chat" on this forum motivates everyone taking part. I know it has been mentioned before, but I wondered if it would be possible to have a weekly schedule with chores assigned to each day? I know I would find it a great help when planning my week. Hope you all have a good evening x0
