Flylady Challenge - New Year, New You

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon moggins, think I'll plan something similar for myself - next week of course, got too much work to do today seeing as this is only my 3rd day flylady-ing - feels like I'll be at it forever
Anyway brain fully kicked into gear now and some work already done
DD is getting my gas/elec while she's in the city so no need for me to traipse about - woohoo
Already done:- Washed dishes, hoovered right through, got WM x 1st load on, got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen floor and all white goods while I was there and just waiting for that to dry, hoovered stairs up to where the flex would reach, gonna do the rest when I take it upstairs
Still to do:-
* hoover right through upstairs, finish stairs and landing
* Do another 2 loads of washing, TD and fold
* Pre-pepare tea
* Check freezer/cupboards to see what there is and make shopping list/meal menu for Monday
* Possibly take down nets in kitchen/wash windows and said net - see how I feel later
Gosh it's all go this challenge malarkyCatch yas later x

Don't want to tread on toes, or upset anyone, which is why I've posted this here rather than just start a new thread.
I have an idea, and I'd like your feedback. This thread is getting rather long. I love the chat, and it really inspires me and helps me keep cleaning:beer: You've all been stars :A However I'm finding it difficult to find information. When I go for a day at w*** I often come back to find there are 100 fresh posts   Too many to read, and I'm sure I'm missing useful tips.
Here's my idea. How about a *Flylady Hints and Tips* thread? Moggins can post her daily list, and any of us with great tips on how we Fly can add them. Chat stays here, and anyone who joins us can be pointed to the other thread for how to start.
Let me know what you think? I'll act on the concensus.

Sounds like a good idea to me, PP :beer:0

I second that.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hmmm I can see your point Penpen, the trouble is that a lot of tips tend to grow out of replies to other peoples chatty bits. I suppose if someone has a specific question they could post it on another thread but I know that I've often given advice to someone that has just posted on here to moan about how they don't feel like they are achieving much. The chat and the support and advice seem to go hand in hand really. I'm not too sure how we would separate them.
Also I'm a bit worried about how another Flylady thread would go down with the OS'ers who don't do Flylady especially as it's not really about moneysaving. I was a bit concerned when I started the whole flylady thing re the moneysaving element as it's more about saving time than money, luckily no one has objected too much so far. If we intrude any further into the board we could start getting some objections.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I can see your point moggins now that you put it like that. I must admit that I like to read all of the chat too, and I suppose it isn't strictly moneysaving other than the fact that you could make money from ebaying things you have dug up whilst cleaning.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

i don't think we'd get away with 2 threads either. I'm surprised we get away with all the chatting we do here, as it's all supposed to be on the daily thread.
What about a new challrnge for feb? Perhaps we could try out the idea where the 1st post gets edited with the task for those who don't want to join in the chatter.
Or, perhaps, the basic routine of mon = ..., tue = .. in the 1st post, and then extra challenges/chat in the rest of the thread?
There must be some easy compromiseas we all need to be able to access it to do the challenge.
i've been lazy so far. Dh let me have a lie in. I want to do a downstairs fly today, and then go for a walk with baby, perhaps to feed ducks. Then a visit to my parents. i'll then do upstairs tomorrow.
remember to have some fun flyers!

- you are no longer afraid of unexpected visitors.
- you actually HOPE for an unexpected visitor just so you can show off your wonderfully clean lounge.
- you get impatient with visitors who stay too long because you want to get on with cleaning.
- you give the toilet a quick wipe while your visiting friend is pouring another cup of coffee.
- you go to visit a friend and wipe your feet on the way OUT! (nicked this one.. think it's a cracker!)
- you nod your head in understandig when somebody says: 27 fling boogie.
- you are surprised when somebody doesn't understand the term 27 fling boogie
- Clean something extra just so you can write about it on the forum
- you check and wait around impatiently on the forum each night because you can't wait to find out what tomorrow's task is!

Moggins
Love the forum just the way it is!!
The chats is what keeps me going, knowing we are all in the same boat and picking hints up as we go along.
We are saving money, we are cleaning and not spending money on things we don't need out of boredom and finding things we didn't know we had so not having to buy new. And after our house is manageable we have more time for ebay, home cooking and looking for more money making tips on this website!!0 -
