Ooooooh moggins lets out a huge sigh of relief
I didn't know you were doing a Flylady Index Michelle and I'm so glad! I did feel like I should offer (and did on the volunteer thread) but I'm such a technophobe I didn't really want to do it. I'm so glad to know I can concentrate on doing what I do well now.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I seldom post on here (although I do try to flutter) but I really enjoy reading it and would miss the chat.
Today I have changed the bed and washed that and another load of washing. It has sulked on the line all day and barely dried at all.
Made some muffins and a carrot & orange cake.
Vacuumed through downstairs.
Going to get washing in soon and drape it round the radiators when the heating comes on.0 -
Can someone point me in the right direction to find the list of dailies so I can print it and frame it somewhere, I must do this everyday, Have been over here once, did loads of reading, did some cleaning then never came back now I must, I must, I must, I will, I will, I will!!! my house is a state, I have become so lazy since having my son 3 years ago () now that WILL all change, ok I might need a kick up the backside now and then but I know you flyladies are the people to do it :dance:0

Help & ideas please . i was looking at the space at the top of the wardrobes today , If i sort what is already up there, and chuck out dead wood ..i have a LOT of unused space up there, Looking at the floordrobe ( Love that word you all learned me :rotfl: ) a lot of stuff could be packed away neatly up there, and OFF the floor , Iwas thinking of some of the christmas stuff i bought in the Jan sales ( Crackers. cards, paper ) that wont be needed till next year, and at least id know where it was when i needed it , but what does everyone do with bedding ? to store it ??
we area family of 4 adults,3 double beds . lots of duvets etc,,,,
If i put them up on top of the wardrobe in polythene bags in the Summer,.would the heat make them sweat in the polythene and make them go mildew??? ideas please0 -
To those who said they don't post because you don't get as much done as other people - please dont be put off. It is not a competition - it is motivation and support, at least it is for me. If having cleaned a cup before it grew mould is good for you then post it and be proud! I like the chatty bits, they amuse me, and like Pigpen I never though I would say that about cleaning.
Today I have ignored the house and have instead dug two large veg plots, shattered now - but rather pleased with myself. We have also finally got through the last bit of wall and from tonight I will have a tumble dryer, dishwasher still a problem.
Flylady is money saving - I was going to pay to get a cleaner in before I started all of this.......'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I have an ottoman on the landing for bedding, http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6104443.htm
Those bags you suck the air out of are good for storing things like clothes and bedding, they sell them in shops like Wilkinsons etc usually and on eBay (search for Vacuum Storage) I keep all the shorts/summer clothes in those in winter, jumpers etc in summer, and my spare curtains are in another. Once sucked down they slot under the bed or in the bottom of a wardrobe etc.
I'm with Pigpen and the others, but if we must ditch the chat maybe would be better creating a seperate site, this place keeps me going every day. The cleaning tips, encouragement and friendship shown have saved people on cleaning staff ( a few have sacked cleaners since starting this or put off hiring one) some have stopped using the likes of ironing servicespeople buy less products, they have more time to do extra work etc, the paperwork is organised (being the first part of moneysaving!) so that plus others I think this thread is very MSE! We don't cause problems, we don't argue, noones nasty so it's not as if the thread needs monitoring.
Housework is something most of us have to do who can't afford a cleaner, and it's unpaid and thankless most of the time, these threads (ok maybe we should start a new one as it's getting quite long) have spurred me on to start taking control which means I can start my degree this month (which I wouldn't have had the time or study space to do before) and that will hopefully lead to a good job! Definately MSE
Well done Michelle, index is looking goodand thanks for finding the time to do it with having the little one to look after etc aswell
Not doing bad myself. I have made some more bread (another MSE thing I didn't have time to do before Flying) sons had his cake etc, decided to take him out tomorrow for his birthday instead as we had to go to Tescos etc today and I feel really ill. Probably caught the bug they had, but he's agreed to that so it's fine. Sold some more eBay items (another MSE thing, see the theme here :rotfl: ) and have packed them ready to send on Monday.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well have decided to sit down for a well-earned break. I'm shattered! Finally got round to scrubbing the kitchen floor :j , but should have made myself a cup of tea and put it outside the kitchen ready for when I collapsed in a heap outside the kitchen door.
Have done 2 loads of washing, emptied TD, hoovered the whole flat, been to the library to get books for my essay, and prepared the salads for our lunches. :TEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
I guess I didn't make myself clear enough in my earlier post - there's no need to ditch the chat in this thread.
We regard it as a flylady version of the daily thread.
It's a "help and support" thread.
