It can't hurt to try? I would make it up into a paste with a little water and spread it on.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Ta Moggins, for tomorrows list because we did the kids' room last Thursday didn't we? And the kids have kept it neat and tidy (and I have gone in everyday checking) I worked too hard and am too proud of their lovely rooms(so are they) to let them go to pot now!! So it will be so much easier just to dust and swipe them.
I was a bit worried as I am working all day tomorrow and wouldn't have time for a BIG clean.
Welcome to the new "flyers". Give yourself a few days and you feel so proud and different and will wonder why you didn't do this before?
Better do night time duties;
Make sure I have something ironed to wear to work tomorrow
wash up bits and pieces, wipe kitchen counter
shine the sink
car in garage ( -5 tonight)0 -
I don't iron! Except for the weekends to do the school uniforms and then I try to do two weeks worth, sometimes DH will do the uniforms if he is working on Monday night because he has to stay up late the night before
I know things are a little back to front as we normally do the main bedroom before the kids rooms but DH is working tonight and will be in the bed tomorrow day time. So if I don't twist them around this week I won't get them done.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

HopeElizzy wrote:OH seems to have bought the yuckiest, runniest paint he could find - it was value stuff from that big orange DIY place. It was dribbling down the wall as I was putting it on so will need at least a couple of coats.
Hope, my decorator warned me about Wickes' Value paint because it is so thin and dribbly you have to use twice as many coats to cover the surface - is that the store you mean? Apparently their other paints are excellent, just avoid the Value range. Good luck with it anyway, sounds as though you will need it.
Moggins - thanks for the brill list! In my home there is no upstairs and no childrens bedrooms!:rotfl: :rotfl:
I'll do my dailies - come to think of it, better go and do my nightlies.
Good luck everyone.:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
There's barely anything to do in the kids rooms :j which is just as well as on Wednesdays I'm at college, nan picks up DD from nursery and I collect her from nans after lunch, take her to toddler group then pick up DS from school and take him to his swimming lesson. I'm barely in between 9am and 6pm and tomorrow AM I have my first exam
DH has taken tomorrow off work, otherwise DD couldn't have gone to nursery due to time I have to be at college. Our new vac turned up today :T . It's an upright which has a cylinder you can take out to do stairs with. I'll persuade DH to try it out by doing the stairs0 -
Well I didn't throw out 5 things from the bathroom cabinet, more like 50. Only there was this lovely little pot of body lotion (that I don't remember getting and perhaps this should have been a clue!). So I do all my jobs today, I do homework with the children, even have time to play a game with them. Put them to bed and then have a nice long soak. Use the body lotion and 30 minutes later I start to itch. I'm now covered in a flippin rash coz I thought I might as well be good and use it up! Any old style / flylady tips to stop me scratching like a mad thing!
PS Welcome to all the people who've just started and don't forgot to THROW EVERYTHING OUT OF THAT BATHROOM CABINET....DO NOT TRY ANY OF IT!January budget

Calamine lotion or Piriton?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Borax is a household cleaning aid, complex borate mineral powder, you can get it sometimes from Wilkinsons, eBay, summernaturals and a few other places. http://homeparents.about.com/cs/householdtips/tp/borax.htm uses on there, loads more info on the internet.
Tomorrows my last day before the extended weekend (kids are off Thursday and Friday for teacher training) and it's little DSs 6th birthday on Saturday, so I need to get as much as possible done tomorrow, before 12.30 as that is when I leave for computer course, oh heck! Going to work on a list and will post in the morning.
With the rash-
I would go for piriton, or any other hayfever/allery medication (Tescos do a cheap one, as do the pound stores Galpharm brand all have the same stuff in) If it's a reaction to something you have put on your skin, wash it just with luke warm water, cool wet cloths and then overnight leave as exposed as possible. If anyone in the house has hydrocortisone cream for skin problems like eczema usually works a treat. One day I might be more organised...........
