Hi anW's mum, welcome and good luck. Don't worry about reading all of it, just jump in. Moggins' tasks for the following day are posted between 9pm and 10pm in bold blue type so they're easy to notice (I've no excuse!)
Hope it makes things easier for you.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Hi to you both and thanks for the welcome, I've just been reading up on Stardrops, seems I need to get some of that. I did have a go at the oven today after reading some of the early pages on here and it was hard goind
even using Astonish paste. It's a lot better than it was but still some way to go. Plus I have done 3 loads of washing and 2 of drying so I suppose I've already started in a way.
One of my let downs is putting the stuff away once I've ironed it. I iron it and drape it along the back of the settee in relevant piles then bring it upstairs and plonk it on our bed to force me to put it away and then after I have sat here checking and packing ebay sales I go to bed and move it all onto the floor or out onto the toy box on the landing!
Ho hum, I'll keep an eye out for the list tonight and keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
AnW'sMum, do I know what you mean!! I do that with the ironing, and the folded washing. I'll have it draped on the sattee, and the cat will go sleep on it... or the kids will 'accidentally' push it off...
I'm definately putting one task on my daily's list!.. and that's to FINISH any job that I've started.
I've already done a little before going to bed thingy now.. There's no time like the present right?
Kitchen is tidy, and I did a 5 minute tidy up of the living room. I will be smiling tomorrow morning when I walk into my kitchen that's for sure!

Today we are on to the childrens bedrooms again so pigpen you will love me for this one.
Wash bedding, run hoover round dust bookshelves and windowsills, wipe light switches and clean any mucky marks off doors and door frames.
Hoover stairs from top to bottom, no excuses ladies, either use an extension cord or plug it in again at the top when the cord runs out!
Do dailies and nightime routines.
P.s. moggins philosophies are that people with syndromes just need to work harder, ask my son if you don't believe me
Welcome to our latest arrivals too.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

evening :hello:
another low key day
but i took both kids out to a playdate and then i had both to myself till putting them to bed as well (OH had to get some sleep for shift tonight)
so they kept me rather busy!
it does look tidyish though :T
welcome AWs mum :hello:
take your time and start with babysteps (like we all have) - it WILL get easier every day.
it may sound a bit funny first but 'shine your sink' as a must!
(that makes you clean the kitchen - and coming into a nice clean kitchen in the morning gives you just the right boost :j)
sorry to hear about your loss :grouphug: - how old are your kids?
stick with us and you will get lots of encouragment and help
and i do dislike the job of 'putting clothes away'
i am getting better though and try putting them away while the kids are having their bath in the evening - helped so far :TI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
pigpen wrote:Only rich in love and washing.. sadly not sleep, money or space! so here I am! lol We cleaned the whole upstairs at the weekend.. read back a few pages it was a saga! I ended up with 5 binbags of washing from 1 room and probably about 25 loads of washing in total.. plus the usual daily 2 loads. I have got it down to 2 baskets now.
ETA.. I have those syndromes too.. and the 'eventually syndrome' where you know you will do it.. eventually! And the 'yeah whatever' syndrome.. I get flare ups of this from time to time.. I fall off the wagon, get stuck on the wheel and roll around for a few days until I unstick and climb myself back on board, usually covered in poop again!
Thanks for the welcome!
what a relief to hear that other people's kids do that too!!! (save washing in every nook and cranny of their rooms!)
I'm hoping not to fall off the wagon too often, but knowing me, I probably will. I'm hoping the novelty won't wear off and I'll not fall back into my old habits of procrastination..
I'm so glad I'm not the only one with those horrid syndromes either! What a relief! :j
I'm curious to see what the tasks for tomorrow will be.

Actually, moggins, I love you for that list, as I did all that on Sunday and yesterday!:D :j
(I'm hoping that I might impress moggins with my diligence there, and perhaps she won't notice that I haven't touched the cooker...ssshhh!:o )
Very long and tiring day at course, definitely Death by Powerpoint. No energy to do housework today, so just dailies. Work placement tomorrow, bit nervous, but I don't have to be in before 11, so time to do the kitchen (except for the cooker, which will need an entire day or two).
Welcome to all the newbies! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Welcome to the new arrivals, this just gets bigger and bigger every day
Isn't it nice knowing you're not the only one doing these thankless tasks and having somewhere to say how well you have done, or not so well sometimes and that people actually understand.
AWsmum PiixxySu is right, take it steady at first, we like to call it babysteps, you'll be flying in no time. Sorry to hear about your partner, that must have been such a shock, you're very brave taking this on aswell but hopefully you will find some comfort with the nice people that use this board. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Thanks Moggins - I'll try to do at least one of the childrens rooms tomorrow.
I didn't get very far today - did my dailies then decided I needed to start painting ds' room before I went to work at lunchtime. OH seems to have bought the yuckiest, runniest paint he could find - it was value stuff from that big orange DIY place. It was dribbling down the wall as I was putting it on so will need at least a couple of coats. Was most annoyed with OH so good job I didn't see him till about 10 hours later when I came home from work and had calmed down a little.
So, no excuses tomorrow, though I think dribbley paint is quite a good one.;)"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
Actually, moggins, I love you for that list, as I did all that on Sunday and yesterday!:D :j
Me too!!! (weekends are for upstairs here, due to LOs!!) Mind you, gives me chance to do what i missed today!!!!
Hope Elizzy - i also have psinting to finish, must do that tomorrow too!!!0
