I can state that winter is most definitely here. I've logged onto the computer to do some virtual filing while I'm trying to defrost my fingers :o Just been going through all my emails sorting out the junk (aka stuff I no longer need...we have a SPAM filter ;) ) and discovered a £5 voucher from Lightspeed I hadn't redeemed so I went to see what I could get and I've ordered another £5 Argos voucher :D:j So that is £100 I have to spend in Argos...now I wonder if I can "find" the £25 to go and buy the big Morphy Richards slow cooker as well

Had a look at HMV and I'll be able to order DD's birthday pressie from there (Cars DVD) for only £3.99 as I have a £10 voucher for there through a surcey site. :D :j Am liking this virtual filing lark :rotfl:

Just going to have 20 mins (setting an alarm for 11am is much easier ;) ) on Jackpot joy to see if I can raise some more points to be entered into the £1000 prize draw (already got 626 :D ) then I'll tackle the kitchen... will have to dig the heater out first though as it's freezing in there! :snow_grin

Oh BTW bathroom & beds are already done :p

    Good morning everyone,

Have made the beds, and tidied upstairs, bathroom and toilets swished and ive started cleaning the oven!!!! Still need to move everything off the worktop and wipe that down, also the floor, but thought i would have a rest and a bit of MSE time!!!! LO needs collecting from nursery at 11.30, so i still have time to do a bit more - wont do the kitchen floor until after lunch tho, made that mistake last week and had to do parts of it again!!!!

moggins - do you see the power you have over me!!! You say 'clean the cooker' and off i go, but must admit, my house is starting to be a lot cleaner and tidier since starting flylady!!!!

I've finished todays tasks :j . Only took me just under 1 1/2 hours. Unlike the rest of my downstairs my kitchen is small, so didn't take too long. The oven was the worst and even now I'd only rate it B- rather than A+ . It's expensive and not o/s but the only oven cleaner I've ever been totally happy with is the lakeland stuff, so I'm ordering it for next time :p

Did the bathroom, the bath is certainly better but again not 100%. The bathroom was re-decorated only last month and we've replaced toilet and sink, but I refuse to replace my bath as it' s the original 1930s bath. It looks shabby at the side of the other stuff so I'm going to have to accept it needs re-enamelling. I bought a new bin from £1 shop for bathroom, the lid of the old bin was broken. I've cleaned up and put all my hair stuff into the old bin, hairdryer/straighteners, hairspray so everything is together. I tip I saw on AT programme.

DH buying sandwiches out for lunch does take a fair chunk of our shopping bill and before I became organised I couldn't find the time or inclination to pack him up every day. Since joining FLC it's become part of my night-time routine. At his request I last night I didn't make sandwiches but put some left-over curry and a small naan from tea for todays pack-up. When he was moving around at silly o'clock this morning I told him not to forget his pack up only for him to reply he was on road all day and he'd forgotten, so it was no good. Grrrrrr

For the 2nd day running I've not used TD. think it's first time I've not used TD in winter since I left home 12 years ago :D . I need a new clothes dryer though [STRIKE]I suspect my husband has binned[/STRIKE] mine seems to have vanished into thin air  . For now I'm drying on radiators, but don't want to do this long term.

I've also removed DD potty out of bathroom into shed. If she's ok with big toilet for next week or so, I'll put the potty in the same place as my old clothes dryer.

Still no vac, will have to pin note on door in case he comes whilst I'm picking up from nursery.

    Happy Flying everyone.

I've just got the bathroom to do now but i'll do that later when i've finished work. I had a survey to fill in yesterday and it was about cleaning. For the first time ever I didn't have to feel guilty or lie about how much I did. I was honest and my list was huge. Yeahhhhh!

I'm off to read the thread on stardrops now as i've never heard of it (am I allowed to admit that on here?). Have a fun day xx

I had a similar survey to do this morning too :D

Just about to have my lunch (wholemeal cheese toasted sandwich in the George Foreman), I've washed up and some are soaking :o In the washing machine ATM is the main filter from the hoover and ALL my cleaning cloths so the rest of the cleaning will have to wait for now :shhh: I'm going to tackle the bloo*y bank statements after I've eaten ;):rotfl:

    Quick update while having lunch.

Dailies done as is Kitchen. I even undid the plumbing under the sink and soaked the pipes in the bath the bio washing powder and really hot water. They were full of gunk and I guess this is why the smell was coming from the sink when the washing machine was running as all the pipework is connected. Did have a bit of a panic putting it back together but managed to remember what went where. Top of kitchen cupboards and under sink cupboard sorted out.

This is a really good exercise and at least when we do move I won't have to do the last minute cleaning on top of the cupboards or skirting boards because they are done weekly. All we need now is for the people that want ours to get a buyer quickly, preferably a first time buyer (or is that being greedy??)

Bathroom and loo next but that should be fairly quick. Have had kiddies bath toys soaking in milton so the toy box in there is done and did tiles yesterday.

I am now having trouble throwing away the required number of items - anyone else finding this??

Having my first real bad day, surveyed the kithen and have decided to concentrate on the bathroom first and will hopefully catch up with the kitchen next time it comes round.
I have managed the dailies and have even sneaked in an extra wash load, tea done for tonight and I have caught up on the hall from yesterdays list. After I have collected one from school and the other from ballet I am going into the bathroom with my cleaners - going to try stardrops in there - and a black bag for the medicine cupboard and the two cupboards underneath the sink ( don't recall when they were last cleared out so I would think I have more than 27 items to go today).

Apart from starting to have a tidy house I am knackered and sleeping very well at the moment, and have decided not to dive head first into flying as i have been doing the last five days but to take the advice and go for small steps.
