Making beds
Getting showered and dressed (to shoes preferably but Pigpen prefers being barefoot and pregnant) AND CHAINED TO A SHINY SINK!!
Preparing meals etc etc.
Nightime routines are things you need to do so the morning doesn't catch you by surprise. Have clothes ready to put on, school things sorted, lunches made, a quick swipe of the kitchen and tidy the living room before you go to bed.
LOL, see pigpen! I can get my own back sometimesLOL.. WONDERED HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE!
I actually prefer being butt naked, but I scare the postman, the children and cats and give the rabbits nightmares!!
for me, the dailies include trying to hide from Moggins commands lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

evening :hello:
no idea what the list is for today (or yesterday)
i am trying to get the dailies done as the come along! and that's difficult enough
why is it weekends are always more difficult? - might be because OH is home
we did take the kids swimming today which was rather nice as a family :T
and i am rather pleased that i got up 10min ago to un/reload the d/w and clean the kitchen :j
will be soooooo much nicer in the morning!
happy flying everyone :TI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
Hiya Tracey the problem with me is it all overwhelms me, i start off ok, then by dinner time i cant be ar$$ed....
Whenever i do get on top of one room, i lack the motivation to tickle it up every day, then a week has past and it's as bad again. I wouldn't mind if i did the messing, it's the hubby and the 3 kids!!!!
BUT - Not anymore!! From tomorrow it's all gonna change..... (she says!)0 -
oh another question, can it take all day or do you set a certain time limit to each job. Thanks and good night0

Remember to take babysteps, it didn't get that way in a week and you probably aren't going to get it clear in a week. Whatever you don't get done this week will get done the next as all the rooms roll round again.
As others have noticed once you've done it two weeks running it takes less and less time because you've already done the worst of it and are now keeping on top of things. Plus others have noticed that DH's and kids are also taking part and taking pride in their rooms and their achievements.
I've just gone out and loaded the washing machine ready to start first thing tomorrow and cleaned the kitchen floor again. I was going to leave it till tomorrow morning but a friend has phoned inviting me over for coffee. Now I can go for coffee completely guilt free and not sit there thinking about what I should have been doing at home instead!
edit as I missed tracey's post: You can take as long as you like but most of us like to set a kitchen timer for 45 minutes and work for that long then take a 15 minute break then work for another 45 minutes. So it sort of speeds you up because you are working against the clock.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

DH had a mate round to watch footie, they were drinking beer in other room, I was here on PC, DH asked are you tidying the bottle opener away each time I use it cos I have to keep getting it out of drawer. I said it's automatic now and the only way to keep the house remaining organised cos you are so untidy :rotfl: he didn't disagree. I liked what someone said about hiding all the stuff though till they asked for it, might try it on DHs ties
What does everyone else use to clean their oven? I always used to use either Mr Muscle oven cleaner or some great stuff from Lakeland called grill-o-mat (or similar). Cos I'm a bit wary of what to use I left cleaning it last week as I didn't think I had anything suitable for cleaning it with and didn't think to get anything when I went shopping. Can't go out tomorrow and risk missing the vac delivery again.
Bathroom, I'll give the cillit bang I bought today a go on our enamel bath, MIL got it looking good with that last time, but I think ultimately it need re-enamelling. Toilet needs a thorough cleaning just about everyday, how my family manage to get po* on the opposite side of the toilet seat I'll never know_pale_ what angle do they sit doing their #2s on. No de-cluttering to do, the bathroom was re-decorated in December :j and cos I always get loads of smellies for xmas they were all put away neat and orderly.

Spendless you can use biological washing powder to clean the oven. I have some stuff made by Dylon called Big D. I was intending to use that tomorrow but looking at the instructions I think I may need to buy a gas mask first!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
