oh bug*ger
after all my hard work, OH rang and i moved to turn down TV sound and knocked the rest of my red wine over the newly cleaned lilac rugMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Evening all. Have been busy for the last few days on everything except flying, good to see that everyone else has been getting on with it.
I am still living in just the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, but the sitting room is now papered, the spare bedroom will be papered tomorrow, then the floors will be sanded and the coats will go on. I'm going to be one of those people who makes everyone take their shoes off when they come through the front door. :rotfl: Even though I always find an unsuspected hole in my sock when I go to that kind of home!:o
Did some flying yesterday despite being cramped - good clean round bathroom (nearly finished spray bottle, must check Stardrops thread to see if I can refill with it), ditto in kitchen plus, very important to me, sorted out cupboard under draining board and made room for my new slow cooker. Somehow I couldn't commit to using it until I had found it a proper home in the kitchen. Managed to move displaced stuff from kitchen to my bedroom - well I had to, to get to the washing machine.:p
Must get to sleep - tomorrow we fly!:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
i survived !!!! i did ALL of the things on Moggins list , which i have to admit ,to me seemed to much to do ( In my house i mean ), but not only did i do everything,i did "Other" stuff too ..........like when i was cleaning the skirting boards . i cleaned the two radiators too .. Also when in the hall .
i hooverd the stairs too . Believe it or not, putting the tablecloth on the table was the hardest one for me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the table was a BIG hotspot,we all use the table for everything , other than eating i think ? so unfinished projects are always sat on it , piled up . Have to confess i cheated ,and just moved the stuff to somewhere else this time , as id done lot already, and wanted to put the cloth on ,,,,,,,, but ill have these as a hotspot anothed day. pleased with what ive got done .....
Many thanks Mumof2 for the stardrops link . Ive been out and bought some ,and had a try in the bathroom .im now officially one of the shiny sink club , wow that stuff is brilliant , all the taps really do shine.
so im tired but happy ,,,,,
done a lot of daily stuff too , which are regular things for me ,washed 3 loads, dried most of it , delivered a freecycle thing to someone ,,,,,had visitors that was AMAZED how big the dining room was tonight,,,,,,the table is a drop leaf, and id cleared it ,put the leaf down and put the cloth on ,so proves its made a difference , ( Thanks Moggins for cracking the whip )
Night time thingies ( Im new ) packed all the packed lunches for tomorrow ,
Some of the things being baked for lunches .are these on a recipe link ????????as they sound just what im looking for ,
NOT LOOKING FORWARD to tomorrows list,,,,the kitchen,,oh no not the kitchen ,,,,,,, oh well ill have a go and see how much i can do ,must admit its SO MUCH EASIER knowing everyone else is doing the same things too .
thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome on my first day ,feel like ive known you all for ages,0 -
Morning all :hello:
Woke up this morning, got out of bed to find my mobile before the alarm went off, 5 minutes later after it had gone off and I'd managed to find it (How did it end up UNDER the bed when I left it on my chest-of-drawers?) I got back into bed
Got up again at 6.30 and got on with my personal dailies.

hi all, despite not posting much i have been flying - not quite everything on the list but as was said to new ones last night - baby steps. my house is so much better then it was - really ok if someone turns up unannounced - so i no longer have to hide!!
some things happened yesterday that made me realise how much this is worth it!!
first - my keys have been missing for 3 weeks after giving them to dd2 to play with  but because i pulled out sofa to vacuum, did skirtings and radiator :T i discovered lots of stuff trapped between skirtings and radiator behind sofa and ta da there were my keys so saved money and hassle!!
earlier in day dd1 asked if they could both paint  and because table is always uncluttered now i said yes as not a half hour clearing it before paint can come out, same applied for helping make pizza (didn't buy - thanks 0s) they did both need a bath after painting and had already swiped bathroom but new me knew would only take 5 mins to do again!!
so for those of you just embarking it really is worth it - i don't always get everything done on the list - depends how much playing i do or if i can get them girls to help me if appropriate (they are only 3 1/2 and 19 months but will push carpet sweeper or duster around) but there has been much improvement in house
so this morning - d/w done, washing done, ironing from last night put away, dressed to shoes and dd2 too, posted 3 important letters and tea out of freezer oh and remembered recycling. DH unblocked bathroom sink before going to work too
happy flying everyone and thanks for this0 -
can someone give me a bit of help( yes again sorry )
have read the stardrops thead,,,,,,,am converted already by the way .......noticed that some people on the thread had used stardrops to clean the oven , , so as the dreaded oven is on todays list,,,,,
( thanks Moggins  ) ,,anyone tried the stardrops ,or prefer "other" oven cleaning stuff?
do i just spray it on .do i spray neat stuff or diluted??0 -
kitchen almost done, oven is all shiny now but need to clean out fridge and mop floor
downstairs toilet done:D
bathroom still to do.......November NSD's - 70 -

Moggins list
Night time list
That seems so little but the lists are so big for each, I just don't want to type them all out. Thankfully have kept an eye on bathroom stuff since the last clear out we did so nothing needs chucking.
Have used stardrops diluted on hob top, inside overn I tend to use soda crystals if it's bad, same diluted stardrops if it isn't.One day I might be more organised...........
