I like to do my bedding once a week, but i dont panic if i dont get it done.
Had a really good day today, managed to clean the bathroom and toilets, the kitchen floor (including under the table!!!) all the worktops, and the oven.
House is looking really good now ive been following flylady, thanks moggins and everyone else, the support is great!!!!!
  • Ok, so I've done nearly done the dailies (just waiting for the TD to finish with the 2nd wash load) and I've done Moggins list apart from that Hot Spot and the nighttime routine. I decided the Hot Spot to tackle had to be the pantry - I've looked at it a couple of times so far today, does that count?:o The trouble is I know that once I start it will take some time - anyone want a chocolate fondue set as we have 2 unused ones in the back of the pantry!

    Any tips?

    Hi HopeElizzy

Freecycle them! Its amazing the stuff someone else finds useful. I have a box of 200+ plastic ball pit balls and thought no-one would want them - had 8 requests.

Your comment about the oven made me laugh crafty. :rotfl: Mine hasn't been done for ages, and is a bit of a mess from my OH's sausages, and cheese on toast. Last week I asked him if he could clean the microwave on his day off (Friday) and to my suprise, he did it without complaining. May try the same tactic with the oven on Friday, that way I don't have to do it!

Am just home from 2 hours of PE again, and feel that I really earned my lunch today! Suppose I had better try to fly a bit before OH gets home. He didn't even notice that I'd done so much work yesterday, depsite the TV in the bedroom going from white to black again where I'd dusted it.

Just a little list for me today, cos I must get on with some uni work. Don't want to fall behind in my second week back!

    So ... here it is:
    • 27 fling boogie
    • Empty TD and basket of washing blocking the hallway
    • Clear hotspot (top of drawers in bedroom)
    • Hoover bed (if I can convince my cat to move himself to his basket - hate to wake him up)
    • DW (load, turn on, empty)
    • File uni work from this week
Think that will do for today.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

afternoon/evening (and whatever time denise is on) all,

i can endorse freecycle too. i picked the tip up from here and today collected a crag hopper waterproof jacket (we do lots of walking and i can't afford a decent one!)

wanted to ask a washing tip about it actually: it says handwash only, but its a bit grubby and doggy-smelling. i was thinking it would prob be ok to wash on the lowest setting (which is less than 30%) on a gentle wash with no spin, then hang up to dry - any thoughts? ??

i finally got to oxfam today and offloaded about 7 big bags :D felt soooo good! will post my list later. i'm finding the more i clean, the more i see needs cleaning, eg toaster really needs a good vac out as is covered in crumbs etc...will stick it on list one day soon!!

i wash my bedding whenever i feel like it, but not v often!! about every 2 weeks at most i think! i feel like a pig now! :D i remember a friend at uni who didn;t was hers all term (9 weeks)
