Less every week to do Moggins challenges, first tme I did Bathroom, kitchen, tasks etc took me a long time, about 1 1/2 hours, now takes less than half that usually as it's much more tidy than it was before. My daily list is pretty big which usually takes the longest, but like the rest is happening quicker all the time :) I think most of it will depend what you choose as dailies, how big rooms are, how many you have etc.

Emsmum my son will be jealous, he keeps looking at his sledge asking if we'll ever get snow again bless him :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

I hope this is going on for a bit longer as you have a new recruit! One of my very first posts on OS too :o

Lynzpower has been encouraging me all day to get me to somewhere sensible with the state of my house and teaching me all the flylady basics. :A (thanks Lynzpower!)

My kitchen floor desperately needs a scrubbing so an ideal place for me to start tomorrow! I've written it all on my whiteboard in the kitchen and I'm raring to go! :D

    Wednesday Workload

    Do dailies

Today we are on to the kitchen,
blitz those worktops. Give the cooker a good scrub, clean the inside of the microwave, wipe down appliances, sort out the fridge and clean that floor. woohoo, i did the cooker top this morning, kitchen floor last night and have just done the other bits :D (think i'm a night cleaner too, moggins) means i might actually get those presents sorted tomorrow :) might attempt inside of the oven, though i don't think its too bad!

Tackle a hotspot - pile on study floor
    27 fling boogie

    Nightime routines.
rest of my list for tomorrow will be:
    sort the bloomin presents!
    rubbish out
clean baking trays (will soak overnight, know its not v shiny sink ;))
fold & put away towels now drying over bannister
wash & hang up a load
charity shop (dad coming to help me so will park further away!!)
put dried clothes from hall away

like others have said it definitely gets quicker to do the lists. i keep thinking 'not the bathroom/living room/whatever again, its already tidy & clean', but have decided to do the list anyway if i can, as it should stay that way then and never need to stress me again!!

haven't got into the habit of boogies yet, need to start though. not sure i can manage it every day as i'll have nothing left!! don't have a dailies list as such, being only me, i just do things naturally and there's not that much to do!

Good morning everyone - both the hard workers and those more like me!
Took sandwiches to work today, came back to find even more progress by the wonderful decorators but everything still crammed into my bedroom and the kitchen so not much chance to fly. Did I mention I am shining a sink that is a very 70s shade of tan?:p. Spent most of the evening manically doing all my surveys and clicks while catching up with some mates by phone and arranging social life, plus messaging with some Canadian relatives who are coming over in April. My saving jar might be paying for my Mamma Mia ticket... Think I'll be out buying paint tomorrow evening after work - I know how to live:)

Morning All, not much FLYing for me today I am afraid, as have work, then am straight off to my Mum's after and will not be back till 9pm. So list is quite short today:

    1. Get washed and dressed to shoes
    2. Do morning routine
    3. Go to work
    4. Go to gym
    5. Clear off sides in Bathroom (mission for today)
    6. Evening routine

Nice short one today. I was sooo pleased last night when I actually managed to get everything on my list for yesterday ticked off, gave me a great sense of achievement. Well have a fab day everyone.

It depends on the day really. The best thing is to get the morning and evening routines down first. My morning routine includes things like getting washed and dressed and eating breakfast which I would have done anyway and takes me about an hour from start to finish. Then my evening routine, which includes things like making my breakfast for work the next day, picking out my clothes etc. takes me about 20 mins.

Apart from that, the motto of flylady is not to spend more than 15 mins on any task. She suggests using a timer to make sure that you spend no longer than the recommended 15 mins. I find this really useful as I can get despondent if I think I have to do cleaning for hours, but 'You can do anything in 15 mins'.

When I am at work in the week I tend to spend about an hour in the evening doing fling boogies or bits of cleaning. At the weekends I will spend a little longer, maybe 2-3 hours. The idea is once you have decluttered all of your house and got into the routines it doesn't take very long to keep on top of it.

  • I'm the same with the iron. Paranoid one of them's going to get singed!!!

Mine are nearly 12 and 14, can use a kettle, cook, slice bread, and I still only iron when they're out of the house  :rotfl:

Pixxysu, congrats on setting the wedding!

Denise, hope the puppy feels better soon.

    Yesterday I have:

    Post letters – done
Refund for faulty item – e-mail received to say it’s been done
    Living room – hovered
    WM – on
    Quiche – made
Parcel – wrapped to post tomorrow
Stuff packed up – put into loft by DH
    Rearrange car insurance – done
Make *Flylady Basket* to carry cleaning materials around – done
    Bin out – done
Payment for DD’s school trip – done
Return slip for school letter – done
Chickpeas – soaking to make burgers
Complete DD’s dance registration - done

I'm finding it difficult to keep up atm. I'm doing extra hours at w*** so finding no time to do other than keep on top of things. I get home and find there are 2 or 3 pages of new posts, so I'm going to take out Moggins's lists, put them into a word doc, and do them one by one on days when I'm not at w***.

    Have a Flying day!
