Love reading your posts Hester although often have to seek enlightenment for abbreviations etc - why do I think that reading with my face screwed up, shoulders hunched and one eye closed will make the answers less embarrassing?!0

Many thanks Madame Scarlett aka Hester. I'm approaching from the BDSM side of things rather than the swinging one. Although it has been so long since I've done anything along those lines that I'm as vanilla as Tesco's ice cream and baking sections put together.
Seakay I can understand that. I rofl whenever anyone mentions twinks, especially chocolate covered ones.
Live and let live as far as I'm concerned. Also Ladies (and any Gents that maybe reading) you are MUCH safer wearing practically nothing at a BDSM event than you are fully clothed in a normal nightclub. A/anyone who touches you without permission is liable to wish they had a spare pair of underpants with them. People look out for their own and woe betide anyone who acts in an inappropiate manner.0 -
Think this has to rate as the most "interesting" <ahem> conversation we've had to date on the thread.....:rotfl::rotfl:
My "education" has sure been expanded in more ways than I thought it would be coming onto MSE...:rotfl:
I am a bit concerned as to whether the short number of posts for today might mean we've "scared off" a lot of people as conventional as myself in this respect - errr....I know Hester of old - and she and I are quite capable of cracking jokes at each other on this one (from our very different viewpoints)....but I am a tad concerned for "our readers" generally ....many of whom I suspect are even more likely than I am to assume that when someone refers even to a "partner" that they mean someone of the opposite sex and then do a "double take" when it turns out they are the same sex and think "Oh well...each to their own on that" but made that automatic assumption anyway. So - the ...ahem..."wilder shores" of leisure activities beyond the scope of most of us (including me!) is going to shock a lot of people it has to be said...
.....so think maybes 'twould be as well to get back onto the Times Are Tough topic......0 -
*giggles* I'm sure I can find a knitting pattern for a gimp mask somewhere to make it more OS. Maybe the next OS meet up could be at a f*tish fair. There is a very good one in Birmingham.
Seriously though, I have no wish to offend or shock anyone. I am happy to answer questions and give out information and just want to make clear that both in BDSM and swinging that nothing happens without the consent of everyone involved and with safety measures and safe words/gestures in place for BDSM play.0 -
It is OK. I haven't got a clue what you are talking about.0

Oh gosh, I didn't mean to start a 'true confessions' session! Hester and SDG, I have some friends who have enlightened me about aspects of their lifestyles
. Each to their own. I have to say that nothing is going to happen between me and this woman because our dogs hate each other with a vengeance, so anything other than the swapping of educational books is not going to happen ....... :rotfl:
I'm going to give in and switch the light on. I am sitting here typing by the light of a wind-up lantern but it just isn't bright enough. At least I've saved an hour's electricity. Every little helps!
I made a stew last night - soya mince, barley, potatoes, carrots, stock. It's OK but a bit boring. Any suggestions what I can add to give it a bit of zing, please? I think I should have fried an onion first but I didn't have any.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

And I hope that regulars who have put themselves out there and posted amusing but revealing tales don't feel chastised for doing so. I for one think its good to have one's assumptions challenged - as they say to assume makes an !!! out of u and me! I was into the piercing/ body art scene in my youth which has some crossovers with BDSM and met a man who was defiantely into the scene - I was interested/ intrigued but didn't go there in the end and never felt any pressure whatsoever from him about it so even from someone outside the scene can vouch for what HH and sdg say.
In haven't posted much today as I've only had access thru my phone but am back nowPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Nor me, I must have lived a sheltered life, but it all adds to the happy tapestry of life with it's many colours.
Got the quote for my replacement window today, not too bad thankfully. Can't be fitted until next week though as the chappie is bowled over with work. Good to know someone is doing OK in the recession.
Flippin' miserable here today, rained all day. I've just put the fire on as it feels so damp and chilly.
Hope everyone is OK.0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I do! I have just dug my knitting needles out after a very long time, but even if I did knit a gimp mask, i'm not sure I know anyone to give it too!
Only here could you get a discussion ranging from stashes of tinned toms, the dislike or otherwise of liver, horrendous state of vets bills and the subtleties of certain 'alternative' hobbies!!!!
Keep it up, it's great :beer:Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -

You could post it to Hester or SDG :rotfl::rotfl:
Hey, it's very old-style, we could use them as balaclavas to keep warm. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::A
That is definitely my final word on the subject as we are otherwise going to be relegated to discussion time for being miles off-topic and it will be all my fault!
