All best wishes to you Frugal. A sad loss for you.Normal people worry me.0

Might mean the birds are already hungry
.
Hawthorn and Rowan laden with berries here.Sloes and blackberries in abundance and the holly is weighed down but still green - as soon as they are red will be stripped clean by the birds:)
Likewise apple plum and damson trees have branches creaking under the weight!
Birds are back in the garden looking hopeful at the table - maybe nature getting ready:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Frugal so sorry to hear of your father's death-it was good that you were able to be with him peacefully asleep. It does seem that our loved ones actually go when we're not with them almost as though they find it easier to do so when our backs are turned. Do remember that in everything your Dad taught you & in all you shared he is still with you. I promise you that time DOES help to get used to the fact that they're gone. All my immediate family is dead & they died when I wasn't there. Good friends & other family members became closer - life's good surrounded by positive, upbeat people who help make life more enjoyable. Am greatful for OH & his support. Make the most of the support around you as well.0

An article with some "food for thought" in re the crisis with the Euro:
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2030845/Riots-panic-meltdown-financial-markets--To-Eurofanatics-just-BENEFICIAL-CRISIS.html
Well - it made a lot of sense to me and I just wondered what the "end game" of all this would be - ie AFTER "more Europe"...
So - interesting reading for those who dont think that whats happening now is just a "temporary glitch"...0 -
So sorry to hear of your loss, Frugal. I shall think of you tonight when I light my candles. Hugs to frugal, not much more I can say.
Smileyt I saw you! Looks like you were having a good time. Sorry I missed the weekend this year we usually go at least one day but its not wheelchair friendly as we found out a couple of years ago when we last went.
Shergar, how flipping insensitive are this government. Hope you and Oh are ok. Its about time the DWP had an understanding about people who are in serious ill health as opposed to a disability - there is a difference isnt there. I have the similair worries and got help from a lady I spoke to a CCCS (the debt counsellors) as she had been through the mill with her Dad. The future is a difficult road isn't it?
GQ I did think when I wrote it that it was a little inappropriate re the hurricane. Wish I had put 'weather front'. Ah well apologys to all. Think I will refrain from commenting for a while, just came on to see how peeps were coping.Clearing the junk to travel light

Please comment lots because I for one really enjoy reading your posts and would be sad if you weren't posting.
Well, in a narrow window of not-actually-raining (calling it dry weather would be stretching the language somewhat), I pitched the tent in the parents' back garden to make sure that I can do it without making a compete fool of myself in public. Think that I may be able to handle it with something approaching panache, or maybe just competance........:rotfl:I have cut down a 6 x 9 tarp to lay on the inside of the inner as a bit of extra insulation and above that will have my tent "carpet" of two foam and foil car windscreen shades. Pah, I don't care if some people are hardcore, I am a big softie and shall be snug as a bug in a rug.
Had a pootle around a bootfair this morning and saw lots of lovely things and was seriously tempted by 15 metres of wonderful curtain fabric for a fiver but made myself walk away as have no need and nowhere to store it on the offchance I might need it at some unspecified point 10-20 years down the road.
I'm hiding from the TV as Dad is watching the footie and it brings me out in hives. Thank goodness for the interweb.
Hope that Sunday is working out well for everyone.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
