Marks & Spencer's Ridiculous Policy

Who would want pre-owned shoes, pants or bra's???0
-
No i don't suppose you would want pre worn. Pre tried on or pre owned. But i bet that does not stop you buying a pair of shoes from marks and spencer does it?0

I've never known a single shop that would allow you to exchange worn socks... not sure why you expected M&S to be any different.0

Well, thank you all for your views on this matter.
Whitelabel said that she agreed with the policy, so did many others.
But my point was, the style of the sock was not visable in the packaging, it wasn't untill the sock was taken out that you could see the design, which was plain on the underside of the sock, but on the top part of the sock it was mesh effect, that my hubby did not like, he said they looked too much like Fish Net Stockings! This was not visable on the packaging as they were tightly packed in a band of 7pairs!!
Also their underwear do not have the sticky label in the gusset of the pants, so where's the hygeine in that?????
Plus as someone else pointed out.... Didn't he know what size sock he needed before I BOUGHT THEM FOR HIM!!!
Yes of course i know what size sock he takes normally. But as he is a size 14 he has a very high instep, and sometimes the sock is cut on the narrow size, so i wanted to make sure they would be wide enough for him.
And these people that have posted (yuk) they wouldn't want to have someone's pre-tried on socks. But your quite happy to buy shoes, or underwear that have been on some scanky body???
I think that most of you must be employed by Marks and Spencer's to post such biast replies.
But,,, your all entitled to your views i guess?
Marks and Spencer is not the store that it once was, and the customer service has gone down the pan too.
And that is not a comment because of the sock issue. It's a fact!
M&S customer service has not gone down the pan as you call it, maybe you say that because it doesn't pamper to the moaning spoilt customer like yourself anymore who thinks nothing of returning goods that have been worn and can't possibly be sold again??0 -
I am surprised to hear they allow underwear to be returned: surely not?
Any 'clothing normally worn next to the skin' is highly likely to be exempt in their terms -so check them!
It's an exemption under the SOG (and Distance selling regulations for internet sales).Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
I don't like all these derogatory posts about Veruccas. What is the problem with a Verucca amongst friends?

sorry you didnt get the response you were hoping for OP, but I'm sure you can see the logic and reasons behind not exchanging socks so therefore its clearly not ridiculous but very sensible policy.0

i buy socks from m&s/tesco that are brand new, haven't been worn, and same with underwear, as far as im aware a shop can not refund underwear, earings and possibly socks fall into that category too.

oh please not this old chestnut again, just because no 1 agreed with you theres no need to come out with that staement is there. Its a real shame no 1 agreed with you but cheer up.
Oh and i can confirm i dont work for m&s.
But,,, your all entitled to your views i guess?
