I had a phone call yesterday afternoon telling me that the Tesco van had broken down, and could I please come and collect my shopping! I don't drive, but luckily the Tesco Extra is within walking distance of my house.
I collected the order and was told that my delivery charge would be refunded, and they also threw in a free bottle of wine. I don't actually drink wine, but it was a nice gesture!
My friend and I got a taxi back from the shop as it started to rain and the bags were quite heavy - but still very pleased with my shop!0 -

Yes please:TI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Thanks so much for this. Have just returned from hols and am stuck at home with a fractured foot. Never, ever use Tesco's but £20.00 free after the Ocado fiasco has to be worth a go.
Just made my order, had a lingering unclaimed £2.00 Clubcard Voucher. So including the delivery charge £21.00 for for £40.00 shopping. Managed to stock up on coffee, bread flour and other deals.
Just hope all goes smoothly with delivery tomorrow, some scary stories on here, but have never used hope shopping before, so no expectations.
Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.
Follow up on delivery will follow tomorrow. Fingers crossed.MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:0 -
