Meersy that really is extortianate for the cinema! I'm ok at the moment because I still have a student card and therefore still get student discounts but think I might have to go for Orange Wednesdays when I finish in September!
Had a no spend week until today:
£9.50 on travelcard
£3.47 on a pen and a notebook
£0.39 on Ibuprofen
£4.18 on lunch
Total so far: £17.54
Going to treat myself to a coffee and muffin in a little while and then heading out for dinner with the OH. He's paying for dinner so most I will have to buy is a couple of drinks. So well on track with the spends. Hi everyone,
Had a fantastic night last night, elsiepac I'll try and get the photo up for you.
Woke up absolutely shattered this morning and that feeling hasn't lifted at all today, really struggling to keep my eyes open!! Looking forward to getting away for a few days tho :j SIL (although she's not actually my SIL - yet!) is on her way from Dorset and we're all going to head to Kent tomorrow and head out on the Eurostar first thing - so excited!
Spent £19.70 last night, and £1.09 today on a bottle of coke, taking me to £53.62 for this week. Won't be spending any more today because BF has said he'll buy dinner on the road tonight, so I'm within budget :T
I'm not doing the challenge next week because of the holiday and I don't know what prices are like in France - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. If I don't get chance to get to a computer have a fantastic week!

Ladymay - have a lovely holiday
Ok last night I killed my budget:). I bought wine and fish and chips between me and OH, so total cost was £13. I also bought stuff for OH and he repaid me in £2 coins (he knows I collect them) so they are going into sealed pot.
Anyhow spends last week was £110.20 so I'm afraid its a big blushing red for me this week. i suppose it's only £10.20 over my target.
It could have been worse it could have been on a credit card that I couldn't have afforded to pay.
I'm going to go for £50 next week. I have a £10 bootcamp tomorrow, £6 at swimming pool on Thurs and I'm into the city for an MRI scan on Wed.
Good luck everyone.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Hi all
I had a ok night last night in the end. Some very strange things have come out of it, and whilst my immense hangover has now gone, I still feel really weird and a little bit like my world is collapsing because suddenly everything is different. I don't know if it's good or bad, but one thing has hurt me a lot as part of it, so I've spent the last few hours crying and I'm now a gorgeous snotbag. Marvellous.
Spends:
24 Jul - Chickpeas + Cornettos - £1.58
24 Jul - Cigs - £6.65

25 Jul - Milk for work - £0.89
26 Jul - Cigs - £6.65

Ok, can't believe I'm actually under budget for once! I was allowing £90 for night out when I made the budget originally as I was including £40 taxi which I then didn't need, so actually did spend moreyesterday than intended but I'm ok with that (just...)
Happy saturday all
pp- am I starting the new thread?

Hi elsiepac, hope things get better soon.:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

another light day today - i only spent £2.00 spent on lottery tickets for this evening (feeling lucky!)
total spends this week: £26.49 / £50.00
i have a feeling next week will be more as we're on annual leave, and hoping to go away camping for a couple of nights!
so, for next week i will say £75.00. it may be i will spend more than this, but i have money left from my birthday still, so i will be able to use that and it won't eat into my 'official' available spends i guess!0 -
Evening all
Reporting back as green for the week. Only other spends on Friday were £4 on cigarettes. So total £25 / £40 for the week.
LC yup handing over the baton to your for next week's thread:D Sorry to hear you have had a rough night out hope things are ok for you.
I am having a very bizzare day, this evening I went to the bingo for only the second time in my life. On the first line of the night I won and got £10 and was chuffed with that, thinking I had a nice free night out. Then later on in one of the main games I got a full house and scooped £500 so I am still slightly in shock, I am not usually very lucky:eek: Not sure what to do with my winnings now:pWeekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

hi all
new thread here
pp - can't believe you won £500!!! That's amazing!!! What are you going to do with it?! I think I'd have some for spends, maybe £50 or £100 for treats and squirrel the rest away! how exciting!!
Sorry for my depressing post yesterday all, I'm not going into detail but the reason I was upset was basically "the relationship that never was" effectively ended. So that's the last 2.5 years disappeared then. Something good, I think, came out of it too so we'll see what happens there. Just a lot of change and a lot going on. It's for the best long term, but he shouldn't have done what he did to me. B*stard.
I'm feeling better about things today, not quite so raw, little bit angry and little fragile if I start thinking too much, so I'll see how I get on.
This week, I'm going to focus on work, but on being efficient in my working day so I can try not to stay too late every day this week! And healthy eating (I did a big shop yesterday and have lots of lovely veg and flavoured chicken for salads and stuff like that). And exercise - I'm going to start my walking again, my knee is sufficiently okay for me to try this.
I'm also going to be attempting to quit smoking again as of tomorrow, 1 August. Me and my friend are doing it together. Now that I won't be going out for cigs at work with he who shall remain nameless, this should remove a lot of temptation.
I'm going out for lunch today for my sisters birthday which was on Wednesday (she got taken to Capri for a few nights, to the only 5* hotel on the island...what a life!) but mum and dad will be funding that. Then later I'm seeing the girls for a coffee, so hopefully a low spend day for me. £3.00 on coffee and if I remember to get milk for work then great! If not I'll get it tomorrow on the way into work, although that would destroy a potential NSD. We'll see! Don't really care as long I'm not going mad on spending!
