I'm finally a size 16 after loosing 90.5 lbs so far & starting off my weight watchers journey as a size 26. I am over the moon that my wedding dress is a size 16 and I don't consider myself 'very fat' at all now. I am sure I will get some photos that friends/family take that won't have me looking my best but I will be reminding myself of how different I could of looked.
The photos that I have seen of you are lovely, you look really nice and as long as you enjoyed the day that is all that matters.
Well done!!!! :T:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
Ditto. As someone who is larger than a 16, but would very much like to a 16 by the time i get married, I'm actually offended by the OP's opening comment.
which part offends you? I am very fat, I carry a lot of weight on my arms and belly and it shows!
I put in my opening comment that I am very fat (size 16). I didnt say that a 16 was fat per se, just that I am very fat and put the clothes size in brackets to let people know which size I am.
some bigger people are very attractive, I personally think Ruth Jones is really good looking and she's probably a 22 or so.
If you want to lose weight and are bigger than me, I would hazard a guess that you can understand my reservations over my appearance too.0 -
I so ohms have written that post myself! I was a size 18 when we got married but somehow ended up in a size 22 dress that arrived the day before the wedding and was too big and couldn't be altered properly because of the lack of time. I'd tried a 20 on originally and it was appx 5 mm too tight on the bust, I was ok with this as was losing weight so thought by the time the dress arrived it would be fine. I was bitterly disappointed when I collected the dress but on the day I thought it was ok. My hair was also a disaster as hairdresser fell to pieces and no one at the salon ( bank holiday) to help out. everyone said I looked lovely then when we were on honeymoon my dad sent us a DVD of family and friends pics, we eagerly put it on the DVD player in the hotel room and I could have cried I felt absolutely awful! Anyone when we got the professional pics back we had 300 and I struggled to find 40 that weren't that bad for the album. We had the pocket book albums so I regularly look at it. Now nearly 5 years later I love my pics and just remember the happy memories and not worry about my flabby arms and why I didn't wear the bolero jacket! You will learn to love those pics, I've always said if I ever do get slim ( have a pituitary tumour so weight is my constant battle) we may have a blessing where I get to wear the dress of my dreams rather than the only one in the shop that fitted and could be ordered in time! Don't be hard on yourself choose your album pics carefully and you WILL love your album too!0

So sorry you feel like this sweetheart. The camera does not always capture things as people remember them - your friends and family remember a happy radiant bride. If you want photos you can be happy with I echo the others who say go for a photoshoot with your husband. I know our photographer said he charged £100 for a trash the dress/rock the frock shoot.0
