Everyone would if they had the courage to demand their rights but instead they don't :D

Was it your courage that got you your own council house then?

Was it your (miss)understanding of the law that got you your own one bedroom council home in a very nice area then?

Love the username red shoes, in Glasgow we use the phrase "fur coat, nae knickers" to describe people who act as if they have money but don't. It's also applied to people from certain areas for the same reason.

Where I come from it's: Red socks, tin helmet

    Maybe goes back to WW2?

Either way, it means the same. All gloss, no substance.

Yeah I am a really piece of work :D giving advice to people on law and talking about me being transsexual really makes it good for people to want to share with me.

I have not forgotten about my threat just no one replied

Not being daft, its my job (not being daft,I mean housing)

In most circumstances a studio flat is for 1 person. No where have I said that other people-couples- cant have a good standard of living in a studio flat. It still doesnt change the fact that they are overcrowded.

    .

I appreciate that council housing has a different way of looking at things but my comment related to the OP who lives in the private sector at the moment.

(I also know you're not really daft!)
  • Those here on a spouse visa, can work if they want to.

whilst i appreciate your comment, we do not know her visa applicaction history, and i hazarded a guess as a reason when people started jumping on the WHY CANT SHE WORK comments.
  • Hold on a minute Viktory, you gave me grief on my thread saying i get enough money blah blah blah but this guy is getting the same wage a year as me but you feel the need to have a go at me and help him.

    From my thread:

My family lived off a wage not much higher - and there are three adults living here, two dogs, two rabbits and a cat. We managed with no tax credits, no child benefit and not Government support. You cut your cloth.

Stop having double standers, i live in London and from the sounds of it he pays for only rent, council tax (which is cheaper than mine) and electricity. What about Gas?

I was born and raised in this country but you feel that he is in a worse of position than me, whys that then? We are in the same position difference is i am from England.

There is no reason why if he gets help i shouldnt. Stop having double standards and keep to only 1 opinion.

Yawn. Why not keep it to your thread instead of spreading it around the forum like mould?

Actually, having read my posts back on this thread, I have to ask...what on earth are you banging on about? The guy on this thread never answered any of the questions I asked so I was unable to give him any real, concrete advice. You are bleating on about not having enough money and working 'long' hours when actually you are doing OK financially and are not working 'long' hours at all. Furthermore, this guy reckons he is living in a room no bigger than a cupboard whereas you have a mortgage on a home I presume you chose. Struggling to see the similarities there.
