what your quoting does not give you any rights, at least quote english statue law you could even quote the human rights act 1998 at least then you would have a valid law however none of them guarentee you housing benefit and none of them guarentee you a council house !!!!

perhaps if you do not believe me go to the UN and report the UK for not giving you a council house http://www.un.org/en/rights/index.shtml

According to housing law the OP isn't overcrowded. 1 room can sleep 2 adults and babies get no allowance for space and children between one and ten only count as half a person. This doesn't make any sense in real terms as potentially a family of 2 adults two children and a baby can live in 2 rooms and do not need to be rehoused. In London the law is followed to the letter because of massive housing demand. OP needs to move somewhere more affordable.

The government of the uk signed up to the universal declaration of human rights 1948 and was paid to do so. It was not until 1998 when there was pressure on blair ,they put it in place.
The law of human rights states that there are no limitations on your human rights ,yet they put illegal limitations on the 1998 human rights act.

They are still bound by international law. but whatever It just seems like no one wants help so why are people whining about their problems when really they do not want to be helped?

who said his wife has permission to work here while on a visa, it maybe the fact that her visa was only granted because her husband is uk citizen, and has restictions on her visa stating not permitted to work look at the bigger picture, not slate because you lot think she refuses to.

Those here on a spouse visa, can work if they want to.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

no the human rights act in 1998 was introduced after an eu directive on human rights and has nothing to do with the univeral declaration you quoute which has been explained to you is something to do with the united nations .

you clearly cannot as you are not and have not posted a piece of valid LAW , what you have quoted is a directive issued by the UN , in 1948

it seems perhaps shepway council do not know the laws of the uk either still doesn't suprise me
