Morning everyone
All of the menu's sound delicious
Monday : Hot and sour pork with rice
Tues : Chilli
Weds: Bang Bang turkey salad ! (OH is away)
Thurs: vietnamese turkey salad (Oh still away)
Fri: Cheesy Nacho's homemade salsa and Guacamole
Sat: Turkey and ham pies (finally will get rid of all the turkey!)
sun: roast chicken and trimmings.
Lunches are leek and potato soup that I made yesterday, jacket pots or beans on toast for DD and I.0 -
Everyone's menus sound lovely! I'm not a very adventurous cook i'm afraid but i am definitely going to start trying new recipes now - i feel very boring in comparison lol!
Mon - Chilli and potato wedges
Tues - Tuna pasta bake, garlic bread
Wed - Toad in the hole, mash, broccoli
Thurs - Chicken Casserole, baby potatoes, carrots
Fri - Pizza and Salad
Sat - Out for friend's birthday
Sun - Omelette and chips

Hi, This week we will be mostly eating....
Mon Pasta (and making a lasagna and s/pie for freezer)
Tues Chicken and leek pie
Weds Special rice
Thur Omlette
Fri Toad in the hole
Sat Roast Chicken
Sun (out to my sister's for tea)
All served with a variety of veg/potato etc depending on my mood and the fridge contents!!
Lunch for a few days is HM Parsnip soup with bread, leftover pasta from tea, or wraps.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
monday - lamb and mixed bean casserole (using leftover lamb from sunday lunch)
tuesday - salmon fillets with new potatoes and veg
wednesday - shepherds pie (using more leftovers from sunday), veg
thursday - pork kebabs with potato wedges
friday - pad thai
saturday - party at our house so everything no doubt
sunday - roast beef, yorkshire puds, roast pots, loadsa veg
breakfast is usually a bacon sandwich for me, sausage sandwich for OH. Lunch we always make. Usually it's hm soup and bread, or a pasta or noodle dish or often we just make extra for evening dinner and take that the next day0 -
I have had flu since my last post, which was horrible but had its plus points - it saved me a fortune on food and I've reached my weight loss goal! Still would rather have not had the flu. Anyway, back to menu planning - I am cooking slightly different meals for me and my OH this week as I am doing a light detox to reboot my system (cutting out wheat, dairy, red meat).
Breakfast for me every day is homemade meusli with oats, rice flakes, seeds, nuts and dried cranberries and blueberries, with soya milk.
Lunch for me every day will be homemade vegetable and lentil soup
Monday:
Me - Vegetable and Lentil Curry (makes 2 portions - freeze one)
OH - Steak, Jacket Potato, leeks from the garden
Tuesday:
Me - Salmon (from freezer), brown rice, grilled veg (pepper, courgette, red onion, mushrooms)
OH - Salmon, sauteed potatoes, grilled veg
Wednesday:
Me - Brown rice with grilled vegetables (as yesterday)
OH - Sausage, mash and beans
Thursday:
Me - Chicken and rice stew (from the freezer)
OH - Beef Stew (from freezer), jacket potato and veg
Friday:
Me - Prawn (from the freezer) Salad
OH - Pork chop (from freezer), roasties and veg
Saturday:
Dads 50th Birthday - going out for Thai (Can't really afford it but could hardly say no!)
Sunday:
Dinner at OH's parentsOctober grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
Asda - £11.98
Aldi - £10.36
Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)0
