Are you all eating only once a day?
I have: breakfast, lunch, evening meal and I usually manage a snack too.

Just these lists just contain one meal a day

i'd imagine it's cause brekkie is cereal etc, lunch is sandwhich, so people are only listing the meals they are cooking?

I only post the meals I cook.
Breakfast is cereal/toast/porridge what ever we fancy on the morning.
Lunch is just a sandwich or salad or leftovers.
I don't plan these meals. maybe I should

Like the previous two posters I too only plan the main meals as breakfast is flexible and lunches are always packed during the week. Weekends tend to include lunch or brunch too.

My menu plan runs from mon - sun and I have been taking stock on friday shopping on saturday and batch cook on Sundays.Seems to be working so far! Only on week 3 though, I also find that keeping a notepad to jot down when 'essential' replacements are needed stops me impulse buying.

  • My meal plan for this week:

    Mon: Garlic Prawn Pasta

Tues: Tuna Pasta Bake (make extra to freeze x 3 portions)

Wed: Chicken and Rice Stew (Make extra to freeze x 3 portions)

Thurs: Trout, new potatoes and green beans

Fri: Roast vegetable Pasta with Feta

Sat: Beef casserole and Pork casserole (the beef is for OH, pork for me, I'll be making extra portions of both x 3 of each for the freezer)

Sun: Dinner at OH's parents (They usually have beef so I get a whole chicken to myself which means there's plenty left over for me to take home for dinner the next day!)

Spent £9.27 at Asda today, all I should have to buy this week is some veg and the prok and beef for the casseroles plus a few other essentials.
    October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
    Asda - £11.98
    Aldi - £10.36

Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)
