Best value Tag Heuer watch for £200 to £300

Hi everyone. I've been saving my pennies for a while now and I would like to spend about £200 to £300 on a watch to treat myself! :D I was thinking of a Tag Heuer watch. Can anyone suggest whats the best place/deals online? Any other better watches that I can wear formal (e.g. at work) and and playing (e.g. on the golf course). FYI I'm a 27 y/o male! :D

My current watch is a Seiko Chronograph watch, that I bought for £100 10 years ago, and it still looks fab! :T

I went to Bicester Village recently and there was a TAG shop there selling watches slightly lower than rrp. Not sure on the range.

    Nick.

vj -- have you not thought of keeping the Seiko (yes, it is superb, I have one myself!) and treating yourself to something other than a new watch????? If you must though, TH seems to have 'factory outlet' shops in various parts of the UK so it may be worth checking in your area rather than going to a High Street TH dealer. Whether they're a bargain or not (or even value for money) is something else.

Thanks for your message! Yes I plan to keep the Seiko Chronograph, but its quite 'dressy' and I thought I could do with not wearing the same watch everyday anymore since I've worn it everyday for 10 years! :D I guess I would like something with a tough/good build that I can pose in :rotfl:

Have a look at https://www.christopherward.co.uk - I've had mine for about a month now and its great.

Anyway, hope this helps! (Quidco give 10% back too)
  • Don't know if this has been posted before but you need to be careful when buying online. I know that many manufacturers do not allow their watches to be sold either online or under RRP - they only authorise high street dealers who sell at RRP. However when I bought mine I managed to negotiate 10% off without trying too hard (from Beaverbrooks). I would make sure if you buy online that the original documentation is still there and that the serial number hasn't been scratched off. Without the docs and serial number the watch is worth less.
    I don't believe it!
  • Have you considered a Tissot watch? I have a Titanium PR50 which I bought online for £114, £20 less than RRP. Can't find the site atm but I'm sure I may have posted it here before.

Lovely watch, not at all flashy. You probably wear much jewellery (if any) so if you must have one piece make it the best you can afford. Steel or silver is the way to go, leave gold to the poseurs.

topher: many thanks for that link to christopherward. Never heard of him or his company before but having spent over an hour going through his website. . . wowee. When you think of all the junk out there with silly brand names that sound 'posh' but mean nothing at all (and the watches are worthless, anyway) or the big designer brand names which you just know are loading umpteen 100%s on top of the base price to finance glossy advertising and high profile sponsorship deals, 's great to find an English specialist breaking the mould. Great tip: thanks again!:T
  • Decisions decisions! I like the Tag Formula 1 range! :rotfl:  :p:o

I tried those on when I bought my current Tissot.

I thought they felt a bit flimsy and because they're quite garish they look a bit like toy watches, as opposed to a circa £500 timepiece, which is fine if you're 12...
