I think pasta bake is a great idea!!
I stoppedasking hubby what he wanted and now just cook what I have or what I fancy.
He always eats it!0 -
I would mix a lil butter and flour in a pn ,add milk to get a thickish consistency add a lil garlic ,salt and pepper ,brocolli (precooked ),chicken ,bacon and peas and when cooked serve over pasta with some grated cheese0

when we roast a chicken we use half for a roast dinner, then the other half gets coated in bbq sauce and heated up again with Hm wedges, the the bits that are left get cooked with some bacon and mushrooms and put in a white sauce and made into a pie. (there is only 2 of us but my husband is a big meat eater)0

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, decided to try the chicken and veg pie (white sauce) topped with mash potato
as it is the most suitable with the ingredients that I have lurking around. If the OH doesn't like it he can get his own dinner as I am not in a mood to be messed with today lol.

That's the spirit! In fact delegate. Get him to make it!
Seriously though - hope it turned out ok.
When we have roast chicken we usually cut off all the breast meat and reserve for the next day and make a open chicken and mushroom/any other veg pie using a home made white sauce (occasionally lightly flavoured with mild curry powder).
Even my OH can do this (as long as we use frozen pastry and he doesn't have to make that).0 -

I do the chicken in a white sauce with any veg like courgette, mushrooms, onion, garlic, cream peppers, sweetcorn etc and put it in a filling for lasagne with cheese on the top.
Always goes down well, esp with a bit of garlic bread:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
well - i usually do chicken curry if i got a half chicken left - but with just a quarter and as you have some veg - got to be stir fry! great if you got some soy sauce or sesame oil in storecupboard serve with rice or noodles if you have some! see you have potatoes so could do chips or wedges!0
