I know that they change their product ranges regularly (I guess when they have sold what they have bought and replace it with a similar product).

I live 50 miles from my branch in Thurrock. Does anybody know if they give out stock information over the phone. I am particularly interested in LCD TVs & vacuum cleaners.

Dont know about Thurrock but the Haydock one has a massive display of LCDs at the moment so I suspect it wont be a wasted journey

I love Costco. We go about once a month and buy all the cleaning products, pet food etc from there. We use some shelving in the garage to store stuff.....

we bought 4 boxes of finish dishwasher tablets on our first trip (on special offer) and a year later, we are only half way through them!

We worked out that we save the membership cost within the first two months.

Here's a link to their website. If you don't find the answer to your question, you can email them. They were very quick to respond to my query.

We've been a member of Costco for a year now, and will be doing one of our regular runs this weekend. We have seen loads of lovely looking food, but other than the Chicken breasts, mince and tuna steaks never actually purchased much of it, due to the amount (what if we don't like it, it isn't up to much).

Therefore could you please give me your tips for what is worth buying, both food and other products (eg cleaning) that I should look out for this weekend.

    Hi Welshlassie,

There's an older thread that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the replies together.

Been a member of our local Costco for about 4 years now and saved thousands. Business stuff and personal things.

Bakery, meat etc brilliant, filter coffee - a great big tin for under a fiver. Soap powers, loo rolls, dishwasher stuff - all fantastic value. Fruit and veg - excellent quality but a bit pricey - anyway, the packs are a bit too big for us so don't bother with those.

Bought a beautiful full length suede coat for £35 (including VAT) really good quality soft suede - the compliments that coat gets!! - Ditto a pale blue suede skirt and jacket for just £55. A fake fur coat three years ago - full length about £45 - so glam and kind to animals!!

At Christmas they have beautiful knitwear - especially for men - gorgeous cashmere sweaters for about £35 (great for the Dads) and for my two sons really trendly pure wool Italian sweaters for £11.

Lovely leather Jane Shilton handbags, usually round the £35 mark and some really great household and kitchen stuff.

TV's, computers etc seem good too - although my BIL works at PC world so he usually gets me a good deal.

I love Costco - it's well priced and very good quality stuff. Well worth the £23 annual fee. And - If you go before 11 am you get free coffee and muffins or croissants.:T
