have been considering joining costco and was wondering is anyone else a member and would you recomend it we tend to shop at asda mainly an use lots of smartprice bacis and cook from scratch. our weekly spend is usually £40 for 2 adults 1toddler and 2 cats tho did manage £21 this weektwins on board0

Have to agree with most of what everyone else has said - the danishes, chicken, casserole steak and mince are all lovely. What you get there tends to be good quality, not necessarily cheap so if you just want cheapie bargains and don't mind the quality too much you are better off with supermarket cheap brands, eg orange juice, as I think the juice they sell at Costco is Princes, so although it is cheap for Princes juice it would be cheaper to buy tesco value. Sliced cold meats and large cartons of cream are great for Christmas and huge bags of Walkers crisps are very cheap. Don't bother going for alcohol though as supermarkets are cheaper. What we like about Costco is that you can go and have dinner afterwards. Last time we went we had a cup of tea for 60p and a huge slice of pizza for 1.20!0
