Spending quality time together as a couple

We've decided that we ought to spend more quality time together as a couple, as when the kids go to bed, we do our own things and often crash out in front of the tv exhausted.
So we were talking about it and thought we'll have a go tonight, so the discussion turned to what will we do....... ummm, some sort of board game? Ummm

We do chat alot to each other, but I'd like to know what you do on your special nights together? Ideas please!
Clean stuff, or the thread will be deleted. :D You can pm me any naughty ideas :rotfl:

What about a Jigsaw? I personally love doing these, but I can't do them with my OH is he is colour blind and therefore a hindrance rather than a help.

I steer clear of board games as we are both competitive and it causes rows :)

we are very dull and our 'date nights' usually involve cooking together and making the effort to eat at the table and talk, a bottle of wine and then a dvd...

We might take advantage of having a double ended bath...

We sometimes meet for lunch when we are both working - though tbh haven't done this for a while as all OH talks about is work!

We cook most nights together anyway.
I'll think about the DIY and forget to mention it to the OH ;) though no doubt she'll read this thread now :rotfl: damn.

Cleanest of all, take a bath together, with a glass of something yummy. DH and I used to do this every night when we lived together: now we have a titchy bath so one sits and chats to the other or ''gives them a wash''. :)

Watch a snuggly film not suitable for your bubs.

DH is pretty good at massages having watched lots of my physio etc over the years....we do that a lot, but I'm not as good as him at it. We chat while massaging each other with something that smells nice....or even watch tv at the same time.

Very occasionally we try ann art project together....I'm looking now at the unfinished portraight of dog-dog:o. We're both musicians...less so atm, but we often spend an evening making music together.

TBH, atm we're so knackered at the end of a day we're both here we just sort of lay on a sofa and giggle at nothing :o

I don't really understand why you'd want to do anything other than talk over a leisurely meal.

I'd think you'd have enough of board games with the children.
