Who on here keeps unusual pets, if so what are they?
I keep snakes
And yes, they are mine, as hubby is scared of them
:eek::o:D
My newest addition being this beautiful baby Rainbow Boa.
He's all coiled as he was underneath his cave, until I lifted it to take a photo.

I have rats, not that unusual but a lot of people still seem shocked that I'd want to!
Do you get much feedback and interaction from a snake? I like a pet that I can feel I have a bond with, I've never been sure if you get that with a lot of reptiles.0 -
I've kept rats for my children, last one passed away few years back, fabulous intelligent little animals, you just have to love them

We have a mini zoo here

Tinks my African Pygmy Hedgehog
Snakey Snakington the carpet python

You can do, depends how much time you want to invest in them, they are curious and certainly do get to know you - but you obviously don't get as much loyalty from them as you would a dog as with any reptile. I certainly love the bones off mine and are yet to be bitten always on my mind though, not a case of ''if'' but ''when''
Always make sure my hands don't smell of food and make sure they aren't fed in their viv's - which is always a good start regarding how not to get tagged by one

            awwww..........how cute is that hedgehog????????????

I'm another fan of rats - sadly I became allergic to them
so now have bunnies and a hamster.
I've got an unusual dog if that counts??
Holly's a cross between a cream male chihuahua and a black female labrador. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

That's a pretty intrepid male chihuahua, glad it was that way around though!

I'm pretty bad with naming reptiles. I had a royal python called Syda because i was drinking Strongbow when i was thinking of a name; and also had a royal called Frank. He got his name because he'd been burnt on an unguarded ceramic heater before i got him; so he was named after Frank Burnside from The Bill.DitaVonTee wrote: »Love your photo's:)

I can understand the lizards and the hedgehog. Kind of cute and interesting.
But seriously folks - rats, snakes and frogs. Are you insane?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
