Ladies: to crop or not?

What do you think of cropped hair on women? A recent example is here.
If you are female, would you ever go for a crop? If you are male, do you prefer your lady to have short or long hair, and why?
I personally think that crops look fantastic on really pretty women with good cheekbones and a nicely shape cranium! Kylie is a case in point.

Personally I hate it. I don't think it enhances women, I just think some can get away with it without looking too bad.
Actually, short hair and fringes are my two hair bug-bears. I would never cut all my hair off although I think I've been scarred by the enforced page-boy and boyish hair my mother used to enforce on me (complete with huge fringe lol).I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
No. I love my hair...when it's shoulder length it feels too short, so I couldn't cope with a crop.
That said, I do think it can suit some people - although its important to remember that when celebs like Victoria Beckham get a crop, they can just get hair extensions and have long hair back a few weeks later, whereas for most 'normal' people that isn't a possibility. So you'd have to be very sure!0 -
It depends on the face shape and what you wanted to do with it!
A couple of year ago I had VERY short hair one side but it went down into a "bobbed" style on the other (sunds dody - looked really nice!) and had loads of colours through it. When I had enough I had to go cropped and although it suited me, I missed being able to put it up different ways.
My best friend is a hair dresser and he is constantly trying to get me to have it cut short again but he prefers it lol0 -
i dont like it dont think it enhances.:footie:0

hmm I don't know - I wouldn't crop mostly because you have to use products to keep the look, and you have to get your hair cut very regularly to keep the crop. But I love the look on some women, especially those who are petite and have strong features or elfin-type faces.0

I think it looks nice on some women, mainly petite ones who can get away with the "pixie" look (Kylie being an excellent example)
I've had short hair in the past and it would make sense now since mine is mostly tied back to stop my 8-month-old from hanging off it and pulling clumps outHowever, I was frequently mistaken for a man when I had short hair  (being 6 feet tall probably doesn't help)

I had a crop years ago when I had cheekbones.
It was a pain in the bum to maintain. I had to have it cut every three weeks & growing it out took months.
Never! Ever again:DTry to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
I'm male.
As likely to be flamed for saying this as I am, I have never found a woman with short hair attractive.0 -
I have extremely short hair and I have had ever since I was 20. I tried growing it twice and couldn't deal with all the styling and hairdryers.
I have been told by hairdressers that my face shape is perfect for short hair and i love having it so short. Even though I am now approaching my 40's I doubt I would change it.
The best thing is the fact i can experiment with colour. I am currently very blonde (think Pink or Annie Lennox) but i have been black and bright red. The thing is that the colour grows out very quickly and it makes it easy to change.
Over the last couple of years i have learnt to colour my own hair and (believe it or not) cut it myself. I use clippers on the backs and sides and thinning scissors through the middle section. I am the only one who can get my hair right and I wouldn't bother with a hairdresser again.Sometimes i cut the fringe very short and others I let the fringe grow out on one side down to my ear.
yes it needs cutting every four weeks and colouring about every 6 weeks, but it is free, so there is no problem with that.
If men are turned off by my short hair, they are missing out because my husband thinks I am very sexy!0 -
I'm male too, I prefer women to look feminine, generally that means having long hair, but I quite like a few women with short hair too, it can look very sexy.
It really depends what suits you and how it makes you feel. A woman can be sexy no matter what her hair looks like, if she feels sexy. That is exactly how it comes over to men.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
