We're all anonymous on here, unless we choose to give out personal information, which is against the rules anyway.

what I'm trying to get across is, that, if DS had been able to get the mortgage, then payments for a short time would not have nbeen an issue.
Because Dad could easliy get a buy to let then that was the next option.
The 40k was a gift anyway and will always be treated as such.
Have phoned local police, as feel certain posters are on here to intimidate- ongoing- will not put up with allegations and abuse.
I am sure the Police have much more important things to do.0 -

i have not seen any intimidation on here apart from that you seem to be instigating .
you asked a question and as i have explained previously you have been given the truth , there is £40k that was given to your son , if he had used it for the deposit and had got the mortgage he would have to pay for that as well as raising the child - how could he do that if he is in financial difficulty and needing to claim benefits??
if the house is not in his name then he will have been deemed to have given the 40k to the owner of the house and this could be seen as deprivation of capitol which would then limit the benfits he would be entitled to .
I have given you the best advice i can check out https://www.entitledto.co.uk and get your son and his partner to fill it in and this will tell you what you may be entitled to then you need to make a claim.
