I believe some suffer from this problem.
I would look for one with vents, or one that has a winter and summer side.

Oh yes, we had major problems with ours, bought about five years ago. I get quite warm in bed, its just the way I am, but hubby is 'normal' (I am talking temperature here folks, nothing else!!!)

After two weeks, we had to take it back because we both felt like we were on a hotplate, even with the duvet thrown off (in october) we still felt really slimy and uncomfortable. The heat seemed to build up after about five minutes or so until we were throwing the covers off and turning the pillows over because of the sweat on the back of our necks. We didnt have a proper nights sleep all the while we had it on the bed. It wasnt a cheapie, and it was supportive and all the things that people say, but the problem with the excessive reflection of body heat was something that overwhelmed every other positive factor. It was covered by the recommended mattress cover (an extra 25 quid or so) and the shop we bought it from is a local bed shop specialist that is well regarded locally. I suppose things have moved on in the last five years, but I only have to hear the words 'memory foam' now to come over all tropical.

My advice would be to try to get a trial or something. I think it must be down to the individual and your own 'thermostat'.
:hello:  please play nicely children !

If you have a Makro card, they're doing one (Sleep Secrets) for £230 + VAT for a KS.

We got our topper - 7cm from COstco - approx £140 for a double size one - they also do the pillows for about £25 - The brand is Thermacare. We love it and don't find it too hot - very comfy though. We have had relatives staying with us that had our room, and wen they went home they couldn't sleep in their own bed- had to post a topper to them!
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Argos are doing the pillows for half price at the mo- £7.99 each. They look quite slim, but they are perfect.. I won't be going back to feather pillows, and will deffo upgrade to the mattress when i replace my bed..fantastic! and no, not sweaty!
