    Hi peeps,
I have a Motorola V2288 with payg T mobile account.I would like to buy a cheapo Nokia 1100 but I still have some time left with Tmobile.Could I put the Tmobile sim card in the Nokia and use it up.The Nokia comes with Virgin payg .I only use the mobile if my car breaks down and my current phone batteries keep going flat and new phone batteries last longer.

If you know could you write the answer flow chart style or some other idiot proof way for me as I'm not techy.
    Thanks, tweeter.
Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...

    your code for 3510i is #pw+79 29 00 32 30 11 60 4+7#

d500 try this - it works on some:-

switch phone on without sim and enter :-

    #*7337#
Then phone will reset and it should be unlocked

Can I just say thanks for the advice here. I've managed to get a phone working for under a fiver! (free (from mum) phone, Tesco sim for £4.74 and unlocking info from this site)

remove your sim card, turn on the phone and enter the above code

p,w and + are obtained by hitting the * key

the phone should either reboot or say restriction off if the code is right

Many thanks Browntoa managed to unlock it first time(well pleased and of course most grateful:T

Hi, thanks guys for your help, the 3510i unlocked straight away, not so the D500.
Its a bit of a pain as I was told by CW that I was getting one of the first Orange contract phones that was unlocked, but to get the best deal I had to go to London so I got presumably the in stock but locked phone. Any more ideas on unlocking this phone.

it must be one of the newer ones then
you can get it done by unlocking clip (just plug it into phone to unlock it)
you can get one for about £25 unlock it then sell it on, or get your money back by unlocking a few others? or pay about £10 to have it done by post.
note that some of the orange ones have a problem when trying to work with o2 network - to get round this you would need to have the phone re-flashed to sim free s/w
