Unlocking for Nokia phones (merged threads)

My husband rather cleverly bounced his T610 out of his pocket whilst running for the train, as we are midway through a contract with BT mobile, I have had them send a new sim card. Unfortunately it is failing to register in the spare handset that we have which is a very old Nokia 3330. I did go to the nokia unlock site but this model does not seem to be listed. Can anyone help please. This will only be a temporary measure as my contract is up in a month so I will be switching, however, my phone is also a nokia so that will probably need unlocking as well.
Thanks in advance, I am a complete novice to this so will probably need step by step instructions.
I should probably add that I think the mobile is one of my old ones which would mean its vodafone, however, we have had a pay as you go 02 sim card in it working ok.
Our old mobile phones have been passed around various members of my family when they have been mobile-less, which is why I am not sure whether its one of mine or one that they have given to one of my children to play with.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

The phone that was lost is definately BTMobile thats who we get billed by, the payg sim card was one 2 one. I am fairly sure though that the phone is one of our old vodafone ones. Can someone explain what I need to do to register the sim card as suggested by drachir.

Ok, have now established that the phone is locked to the one 2 one network, the sim actually has t mobile on it but when you turn the phone on it says one 2 one network. Had previously called vodafone (thinking it was locked to them) and they were happy to unlock it for free. When we established that it was actually locked to one 2 one I called them and they wanted £15 to provide the subsidy unlocking pin. I explained that this was a really old model that only works if you hold it together tightly (think it was dropped several times by my nephew) and that we only wanted it for a month, they said it would still cost £15.
So if anyone can help please, cos I cannot find it on the nokiafree site and I do not know what griffin, old griffin etc relate to.
Its a Nokia 3330
IMEI removed

Can anybody explain this to me. I thought I would try the various sims in my phone which is a Nokia 1100 (another one not listed on the nokiafree site - guess my phones are dinosaurs!).
So firstly I put in the t-mobile (one 2 one) sim and it worked. So I immediately thought it was unlocked, which would save me a job when I trade it up (I intend to let hubby have this one until his contract expires). So then I put the BT Mobile sim in and nothing happened. Just came up with the Nokia screen and nothing else, didn't even come back saying sim not registered. Tried calling the number and it went straight to voicemail.
So how come the t mobile sim worked and not the bt mobile, is it anything to do with the t mobile being payg and the bt a contract one.

@kazd
these are your unlocking codes for the 3300
#pw+4277456643+1#
#pw+6255775863+2#
enter exactly as written, use the * key on the phone to get the #PW+ (changes each time you press * key)
i would edit your post to remove your imei number as this could be used by someone else for illegal purposes.
not sure about the bt sim? does it work in any other phone?
try phoning cust services and ask if it needs to be registered, if not explain the prob to them0 -
How do you get work out the code?
I have a nokia 1100. I've used nokiafree.org calculator with all three virgin codes Virgin,Virgin special and 3510 and recieved code errors.

Thank you so much, have successfully unlocked my dinosaur and am now waiting for the sim card to be registered. BT Mobile said it would probably take 24 hours.
Next query do you know of any sites that review phones and award them, kind of like What Camera etc. I was convinced that my next phone was going to be a Motorola V500 or V620 but when talking to the CS at BT he advised that I should stick with Nokia and recommended the Nokia 6230. I have only ever had Nokia's, my first was a Nokia 101, I still have the brick somewhere, when I got it, it was just out and cost £200 + and I had to pay a connection fee. Nothing like the deals you get nowadays, I think I also paid a monthly fee of £30 and got about 10 mins free.
So any advice gratefully received. thanks£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
