Drahcir,
I don't suppose you know of any reason why my sim card is failing to register, I rang btmobile and asked them to register the sim card, they said it would take 24 hours. After 24 hours had elapsed sim card was still not registering, so I rang them again and they said they would do a manual registration. We are now about 18 hours through the next 24 and its still not registering.
Could the sim card be damaged from trying it in different phones, I know its not the phone because after using the unlock codes you gave me it gave a message of ' Sim cards no longer restricted' or words to that effect, I have also tried my vodafone sim card in it and that was accepted.
Any input gratefully received.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

@ adamhm
trying to find out if there has been any changes but not found any info yet
not had one here in my hand i cant do without codes myself
@ zakony
it will need unlocking by cable and hardware now
@ kazd
putting it in different phones wont make a difference, as long as its not physically damaged ie bent
if still not registering after 24h tell them again, maybe a faulty sim?
is the sim in the phone atm? if so you may need to restart the phone0 -

Not sure what you mean by atm. I have had the battery in and out several times, currently the phone is switched off, I am turning it on every hour or so to see if it logs on.
What exactly do you mean by restart the phone, I assume you do not just mean disconnect and reconnect battery etc£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Have just noticed something else, whilst playing with the phone, I was going through the menu's and I came across menu 14 - BT Services. So now I am really confused, I assume that this must mean that the handset has at least recognised the bt sim card to give me this option on the menu. So why is the sim card not registering, I just tried going outside and turning it on, nothing happened, I have tried calling it and it goes straight to voicemail.
Called BT, the guy said he was just taking messages and that someone would call me back in 24 - 48 hours. I am now starting to get fed up.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

atm = at the minute
restart the phone was just turning it on after its been off
the bt services bit may be from the sim card, voda sims add a bit to your menu sometimes as well
try in a different phone again?0 -

Have just tried bt sim in my vodafone nokia, sim not working, ie no signal, however, it did add the extra option for bt services. This disappeared when I put the vodafone sim back in and the extra menu was a vodafone one.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Phone is now working, despite bt telling me they were going to do a manual register, it wasn't until yesterday the cs actually asked me for the number on the sim card and actually carried out the process whilst I was on the phone.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
