Just another case of information not being passed down from our legal / pricing team!!

Please let SR know. He's one of your Senior Customer Services Managers isn't he?
He knows all about it because I have discussed it with him. He seemed a little preoccupied with Twitter at the time.
However, this is just one part of the ongoing pigs ear currently happening at EDF.0 -

I'm trying to figure out who you mean by SR? Perhaps if you give me their surname instead of full name or PM me if that's possible on here...?
The one main thing we are aware of during price changes is if a customer wishes to change provider their prices can be frozen so that while they are changing provider they are not effected by the price increase.
I know personally that you can escape leaving fees in other markets (i.e telephone) when prices are changing as I have done this myself with BT.

And just where does it say you won't be charged for ending?0 -
just got an email from EDF with my current OS7 rates. Completely contradicts what it says online by 30%.
The mind boggles at the incompetency levels of EDFs online system0 -

What is your *exact* point? Are you still on "abstract point scoring" and not genuine and helpful comment in a consumer forum?
Even the (in my eyes) somewhat discredited Scottish Power rep accepts there are circumstances that a "termination charge" can't be charged. Specifically if there has been an increase, the customer has "rejected" the increase before the "increase date" and has (then) promptly* initiated a switch.
*A failure of the gaining supplier to notify the losing supplier within 15 working days "technically" fails the "get-out" eligibility (as very narrowly interpreted) but simply opens up a "liability" hornet's nest.
FYI, the relevant regulatory background is SLC24.3(c) in conjuction with the recent Ofgem letter of "guidance".
