Also check out the sony site and search on model number.
It will give you the booklet for it and should tell you what cars it
will offer factory fitted controls

Darn, you were quick!
Just whipped the wife's out (ooer missus) and took a picture but no need to look for a host now
Nice cameras the Sony DSC-H1, your piccy looks better than the one I took on my Fuji S5600 (but then I don't know much about it yet as I haven't had the time to play).
Cheers,

Those are definitely the standard renault connectors - so should work. Fingers crossed I can pick one up now - have reservations at 4 different stores!0

Brought one this morning. It is the Renault one, covered with lots of white lables. Just waiting for the wife to come back with the car.No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Thanks to the original poster. Got one this morning and fitted in about 10 minutes. Hardest part was getting the cage for the old stereo out. Connecter for my old Sony stereo was the same so just a plu and play job.0

Oh No, test fitted in my X reg Renualt Kangoo 1.4 RXE. Fitted all connectors including the yellow one for the steering wheel controls and dash mounted display.
The steering controls would not work ,nor would the display. Time to ask Renault a few questions to see if it can work before the 16 day money back period ends.
Dilema then wether to keep or return. Looks nice and with the added bonus of being able to connect an MP3 player to it.No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
nightrider_1uk,
not sure if it will help, but whilst looking into this subject, I found some information on a car audio website HERE about installing car radios with steering column remotes.
If you click on the red "more information" button , then on the next page, click on the blue "Installation tip" button, you are taken to a brief description of how to set up the remote for a Sony radio. It is actually written for the "standard" (3.5mm jack) connector, but maybe it has some bearing on this radio as well?

hi DBore
PC99-BLA
Thanks for the tip, had a look at the website, however my wirinh loom has the black and white ISO connectors anyway. It also has a yellow connector for the display and controls similar to the green connector PC99-BLA shown on the website. the Sony head unit has mating sockets for all these connectors, so in theory should work. Maybe the specs have changed, I will try the original cassette unit in the car tommrow (after hangover has gone).
I have fired a question to the website though and will see what reply i get.
Thanks
