Waitrose ready meals here are 7 pounds - Trust me

 try cooking your own, costs a fraction of the price and tastes a whole lot better.

Steve122 which planet mate? :rotfl: 7 quid for a micro meal indeed.

You can nearly buy the microwave to put it in for that if you know where to shop.

No doubt we will be seeing you on the DFW board when your bonus doesn't cover the CC bill.

I earn about the same, I have a house (paid for) and support 2 children through uni, fees and help towards living costs.

The original figures on the what's cost site don't take into account any pension contributions taken out before tax, if you are paying more in tax have a word with your tax man.

As others have said your expectations don't meet your income so you have to sit down and work out a budget or you will get into financial difficulties.

Good Luck I think you will need it.

    Mmmm...me thinks you are right!
  • Seriously, Steve, what are you thinking?

I work in London, on a wage a bit higher than yours. I work until gone 10 at night sometimes, usually around 9pm, and rarely get taxis.

I have a 4 bed detached house in Wales (owned with hubby) and I rent a 2 bed flat in London during the week. We own 2 cars (one a sports car), have an active social life and eat nice food, but don't spend anywhere near what you are spending for 2 people!

We both have pensions and are clever about our spending (apart from the car).

Admittedly, my husband's wage is a bit higher than mine, but your spending on basics is out of control. GET A GRIP!!!!

You have nothing to show for your considerable salary!!!!

Where in London do you live/work?? I'll show you how to shop better if you like!!!
