    How on earth did you manage as a student if you think £600 on food is reasonable??

    I would be being generous by suggesting £200 per month for a singleton on food alone.

    You do not need to spend £100 per week on socialising. Cut by half thus reducing rediculous taxi bill by half and a total saving of £275.

    £675 per month saved. Easy.

    Buy a different Micro meal from a different shop then. Even Tesco Finest or M&S cost nowhere near £7.

    And exactly - its food, for goodness sake! You might as well stand over a toilet and rip your £600 notes into little pieces and flush them away because that is what is happening to the food you buy with it!
