    To be fair, those without lightbulbs will always overspend - regardless of the millions that are earnt!

    OH and I used to have a joint income of over £65k a year and we complained that there was just to much going out and we never had enough.

    Now we earn less than a third of that, it puts things in prespective!


    So - I think that the OP is being very silly - you are WILDLY overspending, whether you think you are or not!
  • Poverty for me is when the income doesnt meet the outgoings

    No amount of shrimping and saving will make these two cashflows match - I will always be paying more then I earn -

  • I live on my own - You ll probably suggest that moving in with my girlfriend would save money ... But thats not an option

    Get yourself another part time job on £15k and stop going out...there problem solved for you...now how do we sort out the other millions in the UK on less money....mmmm!
