A quick spreadhsete shows I need 55 K to be debt free and happy - I guess thats two years worth of pay rises to go....

To be fair, those without lightbulbs will always overspend - regardless of the millions that are earnt!
OH and I used to have a joint income of over £65k a year and we complained that there was just to much going out and we never had enough.
Now we earn less than a third of that, it puts things in prespective!
So - I think that the OP is being very silly - you are WILDLY overspending, whether you think you are or not!0 -
Poverty for me is when the income doesnt meet the outgoings
No amount of shrimping and saving will make these two cashflows match - I will always be paying more then I earn -0 -

I live on my own - You ll probably suggest that moving in with my girlfriend would save money ... But thats not an option0
