    Shame they removed the cowpats before allowing the public in.

    Apparently when they told the queue for the public gallery they couldn't take in their cowpats, two thirds of those queuing went home!

    If the attacker had any sense of irony, he would have used a rolled-up copy of the NOTW to attack Murdoch.

    The worst bit is that this distracts from the real issue that this poor, weak 80 year-old has been rogering the news, police and politicians for 40 years and now the papers will be full of 'plucky' wife, and idiot 'comedian' who wanted attention.

    I've always disliked Murdoch, primarily because I do not agree with any non British resident having the power that comes from owning so much of the British media.

    However, it took a great deal of guts for him to go and meet the Dowler family after what those scumbags did to them. That counts for something. And kicking someone when they are down as this clown did is pretty reprehensible in itself.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Do you honestly think he went to see them because he gave a toss!

    It's called damage limitation.

    He is a ruthless businessman who's only interest is his companys bottom line, and wouldn't care if it was a policeman, politician, employee, rival, or bereaved family he destroyed whilst protecting it!

    EXACTLY which is probably what the intention was. A distraction.

    You're a 'glass half empty', kind of person, aren't you olias? :D

    The amount of extra damage limitation that would have been achieved by his going there in person rather than sending others is as close to nil as you can get.

    I've never liked the man, nor his political influence, but that does not make him purely evil.

    I suggest that you try and get a sense of proportion. ;)

    Glad to see 'most' people aren't condoning the foam attack. It was plain idiotic, and not right at all.

    The attack was disgraceful. If Parliament security can't ensure the safety of an 80 year old what message it does it send out to the next person who is summoned to a hearing. I would certainly think twice about appearing and putting myself in harms way, it may not be a paper plate and shaving foam next time.
