I pull the fridge out and clean the mouse droppings that always seem to get there no matter how many times I eradicate them, once a year at least.
We sometimes tie a rope round someone's waist and send them under the sofa with a hoover extension, at the first sign of trouble, you have to pull back fast though.
Does that make anyone else feel better about their house
Thank You,:) Thank You,:) Thank You:) Lotus Eater:T
Was feeling a little down and needed a good laugh,
and all the better as it sprung up so unexpectedly in the midst of the frenzy of cleaning.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Do you draw lots to see who will 'go under' the sofa or do you keep a small child just for that purpose?;)In giving

but I tend to do it first thing in the morning. I get up about 5:30 and walk the dogs, OH stays and feeds the baby. I do it all before OH goes to work about 7:45
I'm not in all day either - either out with the dogs and the baby, baby groups, helping with my elderly nan etc and we are out most weekends x
it certainly doesnt take over my life either, there is no shame in being houseproud x (although as someone said, I'm sure this will change when the baby gets older!)
Now I feel properly ashamed, my baby is some weeks older than yours and if I have done the school run, loaded the dishwasher and stuck the washing machine on once, then that is A Good Day:eek:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Those that say that got proper ripped off on a dictionary.
Dirtiness, Dustiness, Domestic Slobbess, E-Coli, filth all come between them, as do a host of other equally slovenly words.0 -
Oh, my best mate's mum is very houseproud. She paints and decorates before her sons come to stay and she hoovers every day, sometimes twice, even though there is absolutely no mess anywhere. I went to see her, with my friend and the kids, when they were toddlers. It was like being in Hyacinth Bucket's house, I was a nervous wreck in case the kids spilt or dropped anything!
My friend is the polar opposite to her mum, her house is like a bomb site. It's clean but full of clutter, books, newspapers, toys etc etc. It's exactly how she likes it and it has the added bonus of keeping her mum away!

We all have to remove shoes and one day the kids were playing with Lego and I stood on a peice and cut my foot quite badly. Mum shrieked in horror at all the blood and I was trying to staunch it with a handful of tissues.............what did mum do? well she ran and got a bowl and filled it with soapy water and started cleaning the carpet!!!! My OH looked at her in disbelief then picked me up and drove me to A&E for stitches! I just laughed, as I knew what she was like and the shriek she gave was 'MY CARPET!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Lol! That reminded me of the time my dad tripped at the top of the stairs and fell all the way down. My mam opened the living room door, looked down at my dad, then looked up the stairs...then told him off for pulling the curtains down on his little journey :huh:0 -
:eek: I thought you were queen of the flyladies? One of those superhuman cleaning machines?:p
OP - I love a clean house but I just have no motivation to actually do anything. Please teach me!
