I am so far from OCD it's not funny, my house is really untidy... but it isn't dirty.
I hate washing up so there is usually a pile of that but just in the bit next to the sink, I do try to keep the worktops clean and the floor if I can manage it.as well as that there is a pile of clean washing waiting to be sorted, I try to tackle that once a week.
There is a lot going on at the moment, and I'm tired all the time, so I tend to be spending most of my time with Squeak and washing up/hoovering/whatever neeeds doing when she's asleep, she won't be a baby forever ad I'd feel like I was missing out on her if I did as much housework as the OP, plus now she's moving she'd have to be in her highchair all day or else she'd be following me to chew the mop!
I find that OH is really OCD and when he's home alone with her she gets fobbed off a lot whilst he cleans things that aren't dirty.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I'm a lazy moo when it comes to house work. I keep on top of things in a slow kind of way - so I dust when I can see a layer on the sideboard and hoover when there are obviously bits on the floor and clean the loo and wash basin every couple of days as they don't stay clean very long with my boys! I reckon that all the rooms could be tided an cleaned to a high standard within about 20 minutes, so the whole house can be done in a morning if necessary. I hate the mess,if I'm honest, and get mad when the kids throw toys everywhere but I'm not bothered enough to force the routine of putting away before getting a new thing out!0

We have a cleaner who comes every 2 weeks to clean the kitchen and bathroom, hoover the carpets and wash the floors. In between we don't do much except tidy up as necessary and keep the cats' litter box tolerable. We haven't washed our curtains since we bought them but bedlinen gets changed every week or two.
If nobody's got dysentery, there are no infestations, my feet don't stick to the floor and it doesn't smell, that'll do for me.0 -
I usually have to do something about the loo every day as well, kids
This house is a 3 bed (small one) but we are feeling very squashed, problem we have now is there is more stuff than there is space, IYSWIM and I think that's why it always looks so messy.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Well my house is tidy unless the kids have been playing and messing things up, but nowhere near the level mentioned by the OP
I've never heard of people disinfecting outside before?? I honestly don't see the point being quite so sterile. Our patio/decked areas get a jetwash a few times over the summer and that does it.
My sister is a bit OCD...even taught her kids to open the toilet doors at school with their elbows so as not to catch germs (!) her kids catch every bug going:(
We do have clean clothes/nightwear every day though, I like the kids to look niceCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I work full time, have 2 kids and dont have a partner, so by the time i've got home, had a bath, made tea, fed the dog, washed the dishes and made packed lunches It's 10pm and I'm beat!
I catch up at the weekend, but I dont go nuts - hoover, dust, washing and tidy up.

lol we all chip in but the last few weeks have been a bit manic so its gone by the wayside, washing/drying and dishes have taken priority and the kitchen gets wiped over after cooking so never really needs a big clean iyswimNonny mouse and Proud!!

It'll take a lot longer than an hour when that baby of yours gets on the move - and once he's a toddler, he'll be undoing everything as fast as you can do it
Dinner is first priority in my house, then making sure OH has clean, ironed shirts for work and everyone else has clean clothes and (washable) nappies. Then floors get vacuumed whenever they're clear, because baby is rolling and wriggling everywhere, and toilets get a quick wipe around a couple of times a day because I have a toddler who misses a lot. Anything else gets done as and when. But disinfecting the back yard? It never would have occurred to me. I would much rather be spending time with my children making mud pies!0 -
voombroom how the hey do you do all that with a baby? Mine goes postal if I put him down for more than 5 minutes. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

An hour a day would be way too much on top of my working week. It's obviously easier if you're home all day.
We dust about once a week. Vacuum the same. Bathroom gets a thorough clean once a week. Clean clothes and nightwear everyday - couldn't do anything else as my kids are completely messy.
Generally, I would say I have better things to do...up to a point!0
