Just a thought but would it be a good idea if a new thread is started on MSE to let people know of suspected scams and other things on Ebay, like the fact that it is a PHOTO of a laptop and not an actual laptop for sale, I am a newbie and don't know how to start a new thread so maybe someone else can do it - if they think its a good idea - so long as its not against MSE's T&C's
  • It would appear so as I can't even bring it up as a visited listing. All I can say (at the mo!) is well done to everyone - especially Poppy and Natalie. It may be short lived but a tiny victory nonetheless.

And to think that an E-bayer out there will never know how a group of people fought to save them from being ripped off. Step aside Superman......The MSE'rs are here!
  • I just grassed him up to Ebay - under "Item not as described."
20 mins later - item got pulled.

Did anyone get the guys moniker - we could haunt him for a couple of months asking questions on everything he sells.

"Are you the dishonest guy trying to disguise pictures as laptops."

Or even better - we buy something cheap from him - ( with his return name & address ) - then we can name and shame him..

    After that
take over the world.... Waa Haa Haa Haa.....

I really must find something more constructive to do with my free time.... guess I best cook dinner.

  • Why on earth would someone want to buy a pic of his laptop?????

Looks like blatant fee avoidance. Reported.
