I'd say leave it where it is. If he is as stupid and greedy as we think then he may just think it's his lucky day. If you bid it up to a million then he may start cancelling bids.0 -
Do you think there might be a 'ceiling' bid - at which point an auction might be halted or at least flagged for closer scrutinisation by E-bay. One would of thought that if an item reached a ridiculous amount then the system would say 'Hey, this should be checked out'?
If I were running E-bay I would want to know if a particular item was at a phenomenal price as it could affect the company itself. It still amazes me how red tape and 'procedure' gets in the way of everyday common sense. It also amazes me how people like this person can do this sort of thing and as long as they let you know you are a sucker then it must be ok. Do they never consider that a stunt like this could actually be the end of someones world. I know plenty people who are close to the edge and something like this could just be that little push over.
Of course, the flipside to all of this could be that this person IS someone with moral fibre enough to let someone off the hook if they said they never realised it was just a piccy of a laptop. Who knows? I suppose we will never get to know.....0 -
he has cancelled your bids!!!! High bid now £490"If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0

Ok. So I guess the moral fibre thing is out the window now!0

10,000,000 is the highest that can be bid
people should do that lol0 -
Well, I'm not sure yet but I think we can claim a minor victory. It would appear the listing has been withdrawn....0
