Just had a look.
This is tantamount to daylight robbery and surely not in the spirit of ebay?
You really have to read it all to see that you are bidding on a photograph.
Scandalous
Edit Could you ask a question of the seller, publicly and ask why he is describing a laptop but selling a picture? would that alert people? We all evolve - get on with it0 -

no, questions only go public if the seller allows it, and I doubt he would do that somehow.....0 -
i was kind of wondering that aswell as it has a recommended retail price on the listing of over £600, but surely that can be fought after the sale is complete as the pictures can not be realistically valued at that price .0

What about contacting Dell.
No point asking seller a question as they won't answer it.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Notice that all the positive feedback this seller has is from sellers not buyers.

I did think about the 'ask a question' route but in the past I've noticed that not all questions asked appear at the bottom of the listing. I guess the seller must have some sort of control over what questions (and answers) are displayed on their auction.
They have indeed included the word 'Pic' in the title but it is so cleverly embedded in the wording that it's not the bit you pay attention to, is it? I (being a born sceptic!) tend to read every inch of a listing and do my homework even on small purchases so I pick up on stuff others may overlook. Hell, on a purchase like a laptop I'd probably employ investigative tactics the likes of which the F.B.I haven't even seen!!!
As to the question of feedback, I noticed it all comes from purchases so I guess it's probably an expendable account so they aren't too worried about it. Like Pgilc1 says, as long as E-bay get their cut and it's within the guidelines then they don't care either. It's just a damn shame really.0 -
I emailled Dell giving them the listing number as it might infringe some of their copyright or such and they might have more joy in getting Ebay to cancel listing.
I also emailled Ebay to tell them I think it's apalling that they are allowing this and that I have emailed it to newspapers & Watchdog as an example of Ebay gone bad.
More hassle Ebay get the more likely they are to get their act together.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
