Greenbee well done for being so calm about it, I don't know if I'd be able to resists screaming at his parents given their behaviour
if I thought it would help, I'd be tempted, but I have never met them and right now I don't feel that's any great loss on my part...

Second freezer defrosting... I'm hoping that when it's done I can fit everything into the one inside, and that over the next few weeks I can use up most of the frozen and stored food by careful meal planning.

Lentils cooking (yes more!) for tomorrow as I froze the last batch and then realised I need to feed my brother tomorrow, so we'll have lentil and goats cheese salad.

I MUST sort out the car insurance today, prep for my crack of dawn teleconference, and try to make some progress on one of the two outstanding presentations.

Maybe ones the urgent stuff is out of the way I might actually get the important stuff done...

enjoy your holiday - Iam in touch with Dusty and sheis fine - taking a break from the thread - like me and some others she has not been enjoying the thread recently.
dancemum hope the tonsilitis clears up quickly - very painful for you.

hex are you back? did you have a good time?
greenbee good luck at the hospital
vanilla hope you have a good week at the beach - its a shame FiL has put pressure on DH - I know you would rather he was at home where you could keep an eye on him but I hope it wont make him unhappy that he feels he has had to give up the chance of a job on his own merits.

Freezer almost defrosted... Seal is soaking in Milton as it was grim. Last of the curtains and cushion covers ironed, and the curtains put away in the blanket chest. Now sorting towels and sheets so the ones I need are in my bedroom. Slowly making progress with the tidying, so clean should be achievable soon! No contact from the friend who said she'd drop in this weekend. Pity, as I could do with some company - one of the neighbours came over this morning, which was nice, so we sat in the sun for a bit.

Need to rest now, which is boring :(

Dinner cooked & scoffed, and most of the washing up done. Mum & co have gone now (have taken DD2 with them!) as my cousin had to be at the train station by 4 for her journey back up north. The apple & blackberry crumble went down well :D

I have now put my feet up, and catching up with Corrie while eating fruit pastilles :) while DH continues painting the fence :T

Triker - I hope everything goes well at the hospital for your DD

I have washed and ironed then went to town with DD. Came back to find a party in full swing next door so hurried to get my washing in then they don't have to look at it. Rather grateful the undies on the line weren't mine;). Had planned to mow/strim the lawn but am not now - they are partying in their garden (unexpected - it's her mum's birthday) and I don't intend to be a party pooper. Been invited round 'later' so probably will force myself ;)(it was after one of their parties I discovered the efficacy of stardrops on red wine which I 'deposited' on my stairs carpet :rotfl:)
Bought a roast chicken (much less stressful that trying to roast in a dodgy oven and weve had it with salad and salad cream and mash - me and DS who moaned about salad cream on mashed pots then ate it...cos he remembered he liked it. DD had veg and gravy with hers.

Boddy - hope the GS finds strength

Anyway took loads of recycling *fling*
